Never had a chip or crack issue with any headlights. If owning from new, routine (2x year) waxing is all you need, IMO.

Does it happen after the initial warm up cycle? If no, just toss it in N when the issue happens.

It doesn't hold until engine/coolant is warm - just a short time until the cat is warmed up. It is noticeable compared to older vehicles that sat around 950 rpms. At least I notice it, along with some other people.
