    Without it being powered. The dealer wouldn't have any idea whether it was in your house or 2,000 miles away. The dealer would just see that it was disconnected.

    Exactly I do the same with my Stanley air compressor/charger. Pretty much gives me air pressure Nirvana every time. Good enough for me.
