    The PHEV models (Fusion/C-Max Energi, Escape PHEV) had an external electric oil pump because the internal transmission oil pump is driven off the ICE input shaft. With higher electric drive usage there needs to be the auxiliary source of lubricant circulation especially for cooling the motors...

    No it doesn't; it's chain driven. The water pumps are electric.

    Not very. The hybrid DC-DC converter is rated to output 265 amps.

    All Mavericks have collision detection/AEB standard via the camera. Plenty of Ford models and other manufacturers use similar optical systems reliably. There's nothing inherently unsafe about it.

    Why does the percentage matter? Yours is either one of the affected batch or not. It's not some quantum effect where as soon as the dealer identifies it's one of the motors that require replacement it suddenly becomes prone to fail.
