Just to throw in a wildcard, have you considered the Maxxis Razr ATs? Aggressive tread pattern, 3PMSF rated, good on-road manners, and clock in at 34lbs for 245/65R17.
Back before I swapped my order over to a Tremor, these were the wheels I was planning to go with. Happy with the ones the Tremor comes with so I'll likely be stickin with em.
Truck looks great though! Especially with that color. 👍
Most places in the States will outdo California in terms of fuel prices as a general rule of thumb. I went to college out there. After graduating, I moved back to Appalachia. Upon leaving California, gas prices were somewhere around $3.00-$3.20/gallon (this was obviously before the fuel price...
IMO the Maverick (Ecoboost) already is a performance vehicle (particularly if you're interested in modifications). A compact pickup capable of 0-60 in around 6 seconds from the factory.
As previously stated, folk are routinely running 1/4 miles in the 13s with just intake, exhaust, and a tune...
My production date is coming up next month. Will definitely consider it after I take delivery. Bit shy of a 9 hour drive from my neck of the woods. Maybe I'll scratch the intake and catch can off my list while I'm there so if the FMIC doesn't work out, it wouldn't be a total bust lol.
Great write-up! I know the Crosstrek is a common consideration for car buyers looking at vehicles like the Maverick so I'm sure it's nice for some folk to see comparative reviews like this.
Sorry, I meant testing whether y'all's FMIC has a chance of working on Tremors, given the approach angle of that front fascia or whether a different design would be required for that application.
Edit: Looking at install pics, it would seem to be pretty much impossible without hacking up the...
Auto makers will, given a particular powertrain, body, etc look to maximize a vehicle's overall capabilities (acceleration, handling characteristics, towing capabilities, etc) while keeping it within an MPG range they determine to be acceptable or competitive for that particular vehicle.

It's not that they're *bad* tires per se. It's just that those Continentals offer fairly mediocre performance all around.
Dirt/gravel roads, wet conditions, light snow, etc...they offer relatively poor performance in comparison to other all-season options.
Dry conditions are fine for them but...
Tremor Maverick emails don't specify "Tremor" because Ford treats the Tremor as just another option package like 4K, BAP, etc. It's only going to give you the model name and trim level in the email.
And it does look like a Tremor, actually. Note the orange tow hooks, Tremor wheels, black Ford...
A small part of my decision to order swap was the attractiveness of removing any current Ford constraints (the XL trim in my case) but I mostly pulled the trigger on my XLT Tremor because, after mulling it over for a long time, I knew it was what I ultimately would be the most happy with in the...
