You're talking about the ID Buzz. I trust they will get it built. They have the cash, their current EVs are successful (very much so in Europe), and they have successfully revived old models in the past. This thing will likely cost around $50K and I expect the entire lot will be snatched up by...
That's wishful thinking. A base Chevy Bolt or Nissan Leaf with sub-300 mile range starts in the mid-$30s. One with 300-mile range will run you a minimum of $45K. I don't care how cheap you make the rest of the vehicle. You can't stuff 100KWh worth of batteries in there and hit the $30K price...
A full electric pickup or SUV would cost at least twice as much as a Mav. It's not really competition at that point. The good news is that next year's VW Amarok is based on the Ranger. Let's hope this partnership brings home some results for electrified trucks, including the Mav.
LOL. Here I was thinking you were getting ready to start hacking away at your center console. You'll be fine as long as you don't have to use any flexi-grip handles.
The Miata vs. 124 Spyder example is not a great one TBH. The Fiat 1.4 turbo only produced 160hp and the Miata unit makes 20 more without one. A guy at my church has a 124 with an automatic:sleep: and the thing feels terrible to drive.
You do make a good point about how a lot of tiny little...
According to these sources, Ford has patented the spring technology used in the FWD Mav's rear suspension. I'm not sure it's possible to create a working aftermarket part without infringing on that patent.

The 1.5EB makes around 20hp and 35lbft more than the 2.5 in the hybrid Mav. Hyundai has proven that the hybrid powertrain with a small turbo engine is a formula that works. I think a slight but noticeable bump in power and torque would make a lot of hybrid owners very happy.
I test drove a base...
Not sure what's wrong with any of these points.
Innovative but small bed - Small price to pay for the much smaller footprint. The bed is only 6" shorter than most mid-size pickups.
Towing capacity isnt on par with other trucks - Small price to pay for doubling fuel economy.
Overall a basic...
Ford themselves say that over 70% of Mav buyers are first-time truck owners.

I was expecting something that just looks like a padded mat, but this is on another level. Please change thread title. It does not do justice to your work.
