  1. 40% Markup?

Translation: We impulsively did something stupid. So we're trying to pass on the cost of that mistake to an even bigger moron.
  2. 18" wheels from Bronco Sport Outer Banks installed on Carbonized Gray Maverick

Looking good, friend. Do they both use the 60-degree acorn lug nuts. I want to assume yes, but just want to be sure.
  3. Weight of Maverick Drop-in bedliner?

I'm saying that there are drop in liners that weigh less than spray in liners and I'm sure the opposite is also true. It would be a mistake to assume the relative weights of liners based on application method alone. I'm also saying that the weight difference between liners has a negligible...
  4. Weight of Maverick Drop-in bedliner?

I mean it's perfectly reasonable to want one type of bed liner over another, but fuel economy is a terrible reason.
  5. Why did you choose the Maverick?

We decided that the Mav the perfect companion to my wife's EV. It excels at the 2 things that give the EV a hard time, hauling and distance driving. We have reason to make the 170 mile drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff several times per year. The turbo is nice for 7000ft+ altitude and the...
  6. Would you Flip your Mav?

Depends on what the other working car is, how much you can get for that, and which car you would rather have.
  7. No spray-in bedliner if no VIn yet.

I think you are underestimating how heavy a spray in liner can be. I can't imagine the difference between the two is significant enough to really impact your fuel economy. The drop-in might actually be lighter.
  8. Weight of Maverick Drop-in bedliner?

According to one Line-X franchiser, a spary-in weighs 40-70 pounds. Probably closer to the lower end for a Mav for obvious reasons. https://linexscpa.com/line-x-products/how-much-weight-does-a-line-x-bedliner-add/
  9. 40% Markup?

AWD FE in Area 51. I have a bad feeling that some sucker is going to pay that ridiculous ADM.
  10. If we cant get hybrid engine why do we have to pay for the eco boost engine.

We can currently claim up to $7500 in federal tax credits for EVs and plug-ins. What's being proposed is an additional $5K for those built in the US.
  11. If we cant get hybrid engine why do we have to pay for the eco boost engine.

It has to be a plug-in hybrid to get any credit and it has to be built by an American union shop to get the full $12.5K. The hybrid Mav does not plug in and is built in Mexico. There's no tax credit for this car.
  12. Toyo Open Country AT3 245/70r17

Noob question: how do you recalibrate the speedometer after upsizing the tires?
  13. If we cant get hybrid engine why do we have to pay for the eco boost engine.

I don't understand the economy. I don't understand the auto industry. I don't understand supply chain logistics. I don't understand government regulation. I only understand what I want. GIVE ME WHAT I WANT!!!
  14. Broke-In!!! Poppin’ bottles (of Techron)

Pretty much every car will overestimate fuel economy by 10% or so. The only way to know for sure is to combine a full tank with 4th grade math.
  15. Your Bed Liner Preference - spray in, drop in, other?

Sorry to hear that. You could maybe sell the drop-in and use the proceeds for Rhino or Line-X job. The real challenge would be finding a buyer. Maybe your dealer will put you in touch with someone who ordered without one and is now regretting it. IDK just throwing ideas out there. I hope things...
  16. Your Bed Liner Preference - spray in, drop in, other?

Appreciate you sharing your experience. The heavy rubber mat might be a nice addition to use with the drop-in. I also had a BedRug in a Ram and thought it was pretty cool, but it frays a bit too easily. Not quite as durable as traditional options.
  17. Arizona meet up.

There's a little coffee shop in Chandler that does cars and coffee on the third Saturday of each month
  18. Your Bed Liner Preference - spray in, drop in, other?

I ordered a XLT Lux over the weekend (11/13) and it seems that it was after the cutoff to receive a spary-in liner (11/10). I wanted the hard drop-in with the cold weather features in the Lux, but wasn't able to configure it that way. So I guess I should consider myself lucky to (eventually...
