I got this email too. What's funny is that the local Hyundai dealer reached out on the same day to say they have some Santa Cruzes in production/transit and would do a deal for MSRP. Is this a sign?
I've done this in every car I've owned. Best mod you can do unless you have adult rear seat passengers on a regular basis. Never seen a car where they don't come out.
Let's be honest. The Escape would look bad ass if it had the front end of a Mav. Props to Ford for giving both of them and the Bronco Sport distinctive styling though.
I would consider the Honda CRV and Hyundai Tucson hybrids in your decision. Both are under $30K before fees and taxes. Both are considered pretty reliable vehicles and both can be found at MSRP or lower.
You can build and price both cars between $25K and $35K. There really isn't a price difference unless you're looking at the cheapest Mav or the most expensive Santa Cruz.
I'm on the Santa Cruz forum too. It would be foolish to not cross shop the Mav and Santa Cruz. Don't let the shills on...
Keep it hot on your waistband or you're doing it wrong.
Recommended amount of water intake on an Arizona summer day is 3 gallons. That's just to maintain your level of hydration.
Half ton trucks are designed to be 19ft long because the standard garage is 20ft long.
Mid size trucks (Tacoma, Frontier, Ranger) are ~17.5 ft long.
The Mav and Santa Cruz clock in around the 16.5 ft range.
I get why some people would remove options to get their Mavs sooner, but I am not one of them. The whole point of ordering was to get exactly what I want and need in the vehicle. I would rather wait it out or buy a Santa Cruz, Frontier, or Tacoma off the lot.
Adding weight to the bed has a marginal benefit and this only applies to rear-drive trucks. You get slightly more traction, but it takes longer to brake and it's even harder to control if you do slip sideways. Doing it with a FWD, AWD, or 4x4 vehicle would almost certainly make things worse.
Fake news. This is from the imagination of someone at Carscoops.com with way too much free time. No one at Subaru has said anything that would suggest the Baja is making a comeback.

I would imagine ABS at 100% infill is probably good enough for a lot of people, but it would take forever to print and use up a few spools of filament. Also, I don't know of any hobbyist that has a bed large enough to print something like that as a single piece. Probably faster and cheaper just...
