According to reputable sources, the XLT Lux package now comes with a drop-in liner instead of spray-in. There's no indication that this affects the Lariat Lux package or the stand alone option though.
Since the Mav is a front-biased AWD, it might make sense to put the spare on the rear regardless of which tire goes out. Not sure if this is sound advice though. Any experts want to weigh in?
Both use parallel configuration with CVT. Very similar indeed. Two major advantages are efficient charging of battery with gas engine and smooth transitions between gas and electric.
I have enough sense and credit to finance the thing with very little (maybe 0) down with these interest rates to spread out the cost of what I want/need over many months. Not kidding.
My old Subaru had a donut with AWD and it was fine for the short drive home and then to the tire shop. The open diffs in the Mav should help with this too.

It's a selection on the shifter to increase the aggressiveness of the regenerative braking. Sometimes it's a button. This mode creates a noticeable drag on the car when you let off the accelerator, similar to what happens in a manual transmission.
