The salesperson I worked with is actually the inventory manager of the dealership where I placed my order. It also helps that he personally has a Maverick hybrid on order. May I suggest seeking out someone with a similar title, someone with a bit more specialized expertise in this area? It seems...
The turbo would likely negate some of the efficiency gains from the modified compression stroke of the Atkinson cycle. The valves stay open during the beginning of the stroke to effectively lower compression ratio. The idea is that less energy is wasted this way. The turbo has the opposite...
Would it be okay if I start calling this thing the Maverick Super Duty Sport? Not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the quality of craftsmanship here. IMO window visors would complete the look.
I bought a new Tacoma several months ago because I couldn't wait, but the Maverick is the one I really want. I'm only holding the Taco (username checks out?) to trade in when the Mav gets here. I think you could do the same and get most of your money back, or maybe even more if you bought your...
I ordered yesterday (Saturday) and got the confirmation email from Ford in under an hour. Maybe the person who put in my order is just very good. Maybe it's related to the order bank for hybrids closing tomorrow (11/15). In any case good luck and keep us posted.
The PHEV makes a lot of sense if you need one vehicle to do it all. We have a ICE pick up truck and an electric car. It's the combo that does it all as a team. We take the truck for long distances or when we need the bed. The EV does everything else including my wife's 65 mile daily commute.
As someone who believes you can have all the car/truck you would ever need for no more than $40K, I honestly do not know. I've seen F350s listed for as much as $120K. No one needs that but the demand is there.
They want you to buy the lux package for the heated mirrors because real trucks don't need a rear defroster or even a rear view mirror. Let's take some time to appreciate the irony of paying people too much to spec and price trims and packages for a budget truck.
Opposite scenario here. Ordered Iconic Silver, but now looking at Carbonized Gray, Cactus Gray, and Area 51 with serious consideration. I'll probably go with my gut and stick with my original choice.
Was tempted by the Lariat for the exact same reason. Went with the XLT Lux AWD because it's the sub-30K truck we need that also doubles as something we can take up north in the winter.
Took my 4 cylinder Tacoma (very similar power specs to Mav Hybrid) up 6% grade at 6000ft+ elevation a few wekends ago. It will climb at highway speed, but it's definitely a struggle. It's actually why ended up ordering a EB AWD just yesterday.
Pics from the web configurator and the description from the Lux package indicate that it's a dual USB (1x type A and 1x type C) next to the inverter outlet. Seems like it comes from the factory with exactly what you want.🤞
The fuse tap method has always been my go-to for dash cams, but I noticed that Ford's dash cam kit includes an ODB splitter and a PAC IGN-3 to hard wire using the ODB port. Could be a very clean install if you can get everything tucked away.
