  1. USB Dash Cams

Search for a "hardwire kit" or a "fuse tap". You'll have to piggyback from an existing fuse socket and run the wires through the a-pillar and headliner.
  2. 10" wide screen

IMO android auto and carplay are better then pretty much anything built into a car's infotainment system. We have a Toyota and a Nissan, both less than a year old, and the only time the factory system is used is to tune the radio station and use the rear/360 cameras. The best factory systems are...
  3. My New Maverick Xl Truck Is Home

Your username made me expect one in Cyber Orange. The white looks great with Bronco Sport wheels.
  4. Hitch Hoist - Anyone Tried One?

Personal experience with hitch mounted accessories is that they all kind of suck. I can see how something like this would be useful if you need to load something heavy and then unload it somewhere else, but does it have to be hitch mounted? After reading through some of the 1 and 2 star reviews...
  5. Auto-Dimming Mirror installed

Don't need a USB port on the camera. It would be better to use a 12V to 5V USB tap that can be tucked under the headliner or otherwise hidden somewhere along the wiring route.
  6. Auto-Dimming Mirror installed

You could add a USB tap and have a hard wire for your dash cam on the same circuit. Classic 2 birds 1 stone scenario. The way OP has it wired would even give you the option of using always hot or accessory power. As someone else mentioned, the ground might not be in the best spot. It should be...
  7. Rear Baby Seat Review Mav vs Santa Cruz

Thought this would be interesting, maybe even helpful, to those of you with young families. https://www.autoblog.com/2022/01/20/hyundai-santa-cruz-ford-maverick-back-seat/
  8. FWD vs AWD Ecoboost 0-60 and 1/4 mile and torque steer

This might be the $1900 question. How long until you break even in fuel cost alone? Some unknowns like how long you plan to keep the Mav and how do maintenance cost and depreciation compare between hybrid and Ecoboost. Other intangibles like if you enjoy driving the turbo more. The FWD EcoBoost...
  9. FWD vs AWD Ecoboost 0-60 and 1/4 mile and torque steer

Not sure there is a good reason to get a FWD EcoBoost. It kind of made sense before AWD was required for 4K. The instant torque from the hybrid's electric motor seems to really close the gap in real world acceleration scenarios. I guess the current lack of hybrid availability is the limiting...
  10. Bedrug bed & tailgate liner carpet installed pic

Can't tell from pics if it's SIBL or DIBL. BedRug says it should fit over SIBL.
  11. Communication breakdown

Call the marketing team. They should provide a rough time frame at the very least. (800) 334-4375
  12. Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

Is the $25 MSRP real? Some other Kia parts sites selling for around the same price.
  13. Cubby Ejecto Seato!

Does this button eject the driver or the guy riding shotgun? I really hope it's the latter.
  14. Anyone bought a placeholder Maverick while waiting for your ordered Maverick?

I bought a Tacoma over the summer and tried to move on with my life. Ordered the Mav in November. I bought the placeholder without realizing at the time that it was a placeholder.
  15. Xlt ecoboost awd delivery window?

Ordered mid November. Dealership would not give me an estimated delivery date. Called the Mav marketing team and they said to call back if I haven't been scheduled by early February.
  16. New Bed LED strip lighting. Cheap and easy mod!

When $30 looks like a million bucks. Great job.
  17. Do I need a spray in bed liner?

The Bedrug Impact mat is supposed to mimic a spray in liner with minimal sliding. The XLT mat is like carpet where things slide easily.
  18. Let's hope there is a manual transmission available

100% agree. The electric car more than satisfies my itch to drive a manual. I really like how the regenerative braking causes a clutch-like drag on the power train when I step off the accelerator.
