Most likely split out more options from the packages and charge more for them. Definitely an increased base price. Hopefully the ability to set to Eco mode and stay there.
Not a dumb question if you are new here that is what the forum is for. Customer Order Verification Program. It is how Ford verifies that it is a legit order from the dealer for a customer and not stock orders for the lot. It requires the dealership to make a copy of your driver's license when...
COVP is Ford's system for confirming that this is a legitimate order in order to schedule it. If your order is built it was already scheduled. Hence you are good to go. Watch Tim Bartz video from last night where he confirmed this also.
Ultimate F you. Got the "your vehicle is scheduled for production" from the Ford chat since I have not received any emails since the very beginning. She gave me the VIN and when I put it in the tracker it was someone else's truck. WTF! Called the dealer, "Oops, sorry gave you the wrong order...
The dealer assigns you a priority code when order of 10-19 with 10 being the best. They usually assign all new orders at 19 by default. Some dealers moved their rollovers from 22 and 21 to 10 in order for them to be prioritized at that dealership. This however means nothing if the dealership has...
There used to be a few dealers who were not marking them up, but now they all are. Ecoboosts can be found for $5000 over. Hybrids are at $10000. My dealership was one of the ones selling their customer canceled orders at MSRP until everyone of them was being bought by other dealers to sell for...
No dealership will "cancel" a Maverick order right now. They will let allow it to be built, add thousands in Additional Dealer Profit fees, and sell it to the next person waiting in line.
I would like to think that too. My local dealer has 16 new Bronco Sports in three different trim levels sitting on their lot and 10 more coming in. I have only seen one stock Maverick anywhere and it sold in one day with a $4000 additional dealer profit fee.
This exactly all day long! The Maverick was always intended as a gateway drug for Ford. As in, "want a maverick hybrid sorry sold out, but we can order you a more expensive Escape Hybrid. Want an Ecoboost Maverick, sorry sold out, but we can get you a Ranger$$$ got six of them sitting on the...
You are right about allocations. It is frustrating seeing some dealerships getting stock units, even hybrids, and others, like mine, still not getting all theirs scheduled.
On the bright side, this may be the only reason you have a Maverick right now. There do not seem to be many available with the Co-Pilot 360 Assist out there. So if your dealer had correctly added it you might still be waiting to get scheduled with the rest of us who did add it.
Due to allocations shopping for the right dealer is the most important decision. Some dealers are currently getting stock, not canceled customer order, Mavericks including Hybrids, while others are still waiting just to get their orders scheduled.
Not far off from my build actually. All I had was the lux package, 360 and 360 Assist. I would have taken it at MSRP, but of course since it was not a customer order it had a substantial Additional Dealer Profit Markup on it which priced me out. :(
