Mine had done almost the exact Crack. But there was a chip. It was at the top edge, I mean at exactly the edge in the black. Didn't see the Crack until it grew down and across into the clear glass . It was a tiny stone chip that started it all......
Thats very interesting thought but totally incorrect. It took about 12K miles for my ecoboost to get the metal bits to finally mesh together properly and now I get on average 28 MPG (AWD FX4 4K tow) The 4K towing has lower gears; and has higher RPM's.

If I am not mistaken, you can modify the heat level in FORSCAN. At least it was an option on my Dually Lariat. I have not hooked up my Mav to FORSCAN in over a year. Sorry.

If you really want one just go to your local pick and pull (Vehicle Recycling yard) grab one out of a 2017 -2024 escape. Again I paid 2.00 for the tiny part, and yes it does slam down without it when I am reaching into it from the drivers seat. It was annoying as hell.
Welcome to the MTC!

It is to prevent damage to the transmission. I have an FX4 and it does it to me if I am on a fairly steep incline when I park it. THe alarm though I dont have any clue...
