NO! They sold you a vehicle, the deal including a free oil change. They are obliged to use the oil specified IN THE OWNER’S MANUAL!!! There is absolutely NO reasonable argument to use otherwise! Grrrrr!

Sometime back, a member posted the idea of duplicating the wheel/tire combo as a spare. It MAY fit in its allotted space, but only if you deflated it a bit. Great idea! As long as you carry a portable 12v inflator. Personally, I don’t like the idea of putting the tire up against those teeth...

Take your Mav back and tell them to do it correctly, using the proper oil. If they try to upcharge you for the fullsyn, tell them that you’re due free oil changes for the vehicle that they sold you. Hopefully they know what they sold you!!
