"Used Metra harnesses on both front and rear"
Which model numbers did you use and did they fit well? I've seen 4 different ones mentioned and I'm not sure which ones to get now.
Make sure you order it online from the official ford parts and accessories site. You can add installation then for $24.

The Keypad is $120 and there is a 15% off right now too. I don't remember if the 15% off...
If you have a Lariat with the B&O setup don't install the crossover's as it's already done. If you do not have the B&O system then yes please install the crossover's for best results.
Do it all the time for outdoor adventures where the fob can get wet/lost easily. This is the purpose of the keypad. Just don't leave keys where they can be seen and found easily. A faraday bag magneted under the seat is great. This way even if they break a window to get access, they can't start...

I have a 24 Lariat and it does not interfere with the camera at all. I tapped into the lights for power and it works perfectly. Also the power to these goes out a while after you lock the doors so no battery drain concerns.
Have to ask, what’s the benefit to this item?
It's like upgrading to wireless Android Auto instead of having to plug in to use it. One of the most common things I use it for is when I'm sitting inside and look up something on Google Maps. When I go sit in the truck it is automatically there...
