  2. Just doing my regular rounds...dropping in to see if the stop sale is lifted.

I saw a 24 XL Hybrid on sale today for $750 off of list price. That is the biggest discount I have seen.
  3. MPG Correction Tutorial - AFE Bias Adjustment (via Engineering Test Mode)

Ford must have changed the procedure on the 2025 models. It works on the 22 to 24 Mavericks.
  4. No more hate for the 2025 facelift's new front end design?

Voice commands, just another new thing to learn! At 73, I'll just keep turning knobs!!!! I don't really want to talk to my truck.
  5. IS the Lariat worth the extra money?

Everyone is different on this. For me, I just wanted a basic truck and am pleased with the XL. It rides and handles very good and gets good gas mileage. If you look at the price differences in the different models, you will see why some say an XL is a better buy. Depending on options, there...
  6. No more hate for the 2025 facelift's new front end design?

I still don't like it. Never hated it, just honestly think the 2022-2024 looks better! I am glad I have a 2024 and plan to keep it for quite a while.
  7. I Couldn't Be Happier! Added new pics showing the CG in the sun.

Your truck looks exactly like mine. That cactus gray color really rocks and rarely needs washing. So nice to hear from someone that likes a basic truck without dozens of options. I'm really digging the 29 to 30 miles per gallon with the Ecoboost engine. Thanks for posting!
  8. New 2025 Maverick XLT review

NIce review. Enjoy your Maverick! I have about 7,400 miles on my 2024 XL and really like it
  9. Fuel Mileage, Just WOW!!!

I know everyone here is talking about the hybrid, but I want to put in a good word for the ecoboost engine. My truck is averaging between 29 and 30 mpg. That is the best of any gas engine truck I have ever owned and I have owned over 10 trucks in my lifetime. The last truck I had was a 2010...
  10. New car break-in period has me full of regret

Doesn't sound like you really have anything to feel sorry about. You have a very good truck with good power and it gets good gas mileage. Don't worry, be happy! Yes, it's a song!
  11. Gas mileage and AFE bias adjustment on 2024 Maverick XL Ecoboost

My last mpg over 295 miles was 29.6. That is up from the 28.7 mpg in January. I now have the AFE setting on 951 and the last reading of 29.6 agreed exactly with the hand calculation. Have a great day!
  12. What's your "One" Pet Peeve

For me the biggest one is stop/start. It is a bummer!!!! But, I still love the truck!
  13. Joined the Club, 2025 XL in Blue

Don't regret your decision. I have the XL in cactus gray and I love it. Both colors look very good and the cactus does not show dirt as much as some of the brighter colors.
  14. Joined the Club, 2025 XL in Blue

Some people like the steelies just fine. I do, and have no plans to spend big bucks for new wheels.
  15. Maverick Quality - not

  16. Updated Information - Gas Filter on the Ecoboost, No Loss of Power

  17. MPG Correction Tutorial - AFE Bias Adjustment (via Engineering Test Mode)

You don't have to spend any money or get a scanner to adjust AFE bias. The mpg is usually optimistic because the bias is set at 1,000 at the factory. That is why your vehicle is showing 2 to 3 mpg too high.
  18. MPG Correction Tutorial - AFE Bias Adjustment (via Engineering Test Mode)

If you look up AFE Bias on this site you will see a procedure to use to adjust AFE bias and getting into the ET Mode. You don"t have to crank the vehicle. On my XL you just hold down the ok button for 5 to 7 seconds, then turn the key to the accessory position, and the ET mode will flash on...
  19. Member introduction and MPG question

150 miles is too soon to judge the mpg. Give it some time. Wait until you have at least 800-1,000 miles on it. It will get better. Also, read about AFE bias on this site. You need to do the actual math calculation when you fill up the tank. The computer readout is not always accurate.
  20. 10 Month Review, 2024 Maverick XL, Ecoboost

I am not good with the computer stuff. I have some pictures on email and forwarded them to the admin on this site months ago. Admin never posted them. I don't know how to transfer the pictures. It is just a base XL in cactus gray with full size spare, tow hitch, and a rubber bed mat. I love...
