I still can't believe this is real. The truck has 2,000 miles on it and you bought it from them, and they're saying they won't do warranty work? I suspect they'll be told that's not how this works.
I don't know the details of the contracts between Ford and their franchise owners, but I would...
Having owned an EB Maverick briefly, I might bite and flip it. But no, I don't want it. The Maverick is a lot less interesting/appealing as a turbo 4. The Maverick is unique on its own but the hybrid is the special one.
Honestly it seemed throughout MY22 that the XLT/Lux/Hybrids were the most likely to be skipped. They seemed to build a lot of Lariat/Lux/Hybrid trucks, especially here in the home stretch.
I expect them to fulfill the rollovers quickly, but I was wrong once in the late 80s.
I was able to get the certificate number but I am not sure what real use it is.
Edit to add: She is 100% correct about Ford CS giving out incorrect info. It's all over the board.
Got it directly from her, so it should be. I think she said 60 rolled over. So that means they'll only be able to fulfill about 90 of the 250 new orders. Not great news there.
I don't know if I missed this somewhere else, but Ashlie confirmed the 11 allocations was an error. The real number, according to her, is "approximately 150" for MY23.
Those of us who rolled over should be good to go.
Thread is pretty old, wonder what OP decided to do? No way I would have let it go for $30,500. Shopping it around could probably get you several grand more.
A Ford dealership cannot refuse to do warranty work on a Ford vehicle that is under warranty.
I had this issue with a Kia dealership a few years ago. I exchanged several emails with the CEO of the dealership group it was associated with. I asked him to put it in writing that they were refusing...
Ford's memos for a while now have indicated that the last day of MY22 production is 11/14 and the first day of MY23 production os 11/14. They know more about it than us. As long as they get them built.
That was my point. My original post was kind of harsh, but having experienced a Maverick I just can't wrap my mind around it. For what it is and what it cost at MSRP, it is absolutely fantastic. For what must have been in the mid $30k range for a used $23k truck, it's just too absurd to fathom -...
