Glad you got it going. I don’t believe Oriellys stocks anything worth buying for an audio upgrade. Except wire maybe, connecters, ect. Higher quality stuff usually has this exact issue in mind with dummy loads built in and selector switches for more compatibility.
This is nice. I have a door that only worked with the aladdin connect app, I ended up using IFTTT to add widgets to the carplay home screen and a simple server running on an old PC to operate it.
Sorry if this was already addressed before, but sounds like you got delivered tee harnesses and not loopback harnesses, they fucked up if thats not what you ordered. I ended up dismantling my tee harness after one of the shitty solder jobs on it broke, leaving me with one channel dead, and it...
Well, the only ones from Resonix in the wild right now are the prototypes, so I bet most of us could say the same lol. And yes forscan has been flattened, the slim 10" JL sub I have is just inherently limited in the lower range.
The whole first link I posted is independent laboratory testing...
Thanks for doing this! Just browsing around, I thought it was interesting the engineers included a programming option for r12 refrigerant on 7E0-163-03. Y'all think they still have code from the 90s running in the PCM?
I felt it was cheap for what they are claiming it can do lol. The 12 and 15 inch versions can probably compete with full sized speakers, yet are still slim enough you could install one(or two or three) behind the seats of a maverick if you wanted to custom fab the box.
I had to silicone my JL...
I had a similar issue, but I ran a loop back harness to the amps instead of tapping because I wanted to go full active on all of the speakers. The entire front left channel would drop out, no DTCs or anything.
I was installing a new amp for the subwoofer and found I could make it happen...
ResoNix is developing shallow subwoofers with sound quality in mind, a 10" that is rated for 500 watts rms and fits perfectly in the Skar fiberglass box that goes under the bench on the drivers side. Or get two for those of you without a rear battery.
It requires .35-.9 cu ft of box, which the...
It works the same as the bronco, I got it flattened on mine. But, unless you’re going to go full active, it makes the speaker chimes and mid frequencies unpleasant. I’m still messing with things, might just need a nicer crossover for the component speakers I bought or an L pad for the tweeters...
I’ve added a subwoofer and replaced the door speakers and tweeters. I used a Hertz K165 component set, JL 10TW3 with the skar fiberglass box for the drivers side cubby. It bumps pretty nice, but to get the low low notes to be audible I did the flat eq change to 727-01-02 xx00-xxxx-xxxx.
I...
No news yet, seems we might need one or two expensive module upgrades to make another attempt. Ain’t nobody got the cheese to drop on that kind of an experiment.
Thanks! I don’t have the b&o setup in my truck, but I can still see the value in these. I opted to order a LOC and I’ll power it off the fuse 6 tap, then it shouldn’t matter if my amp uses signal sense. May end up buying a 6 channel amp with built in DSP anyway, the more I read.
It’s a Kenwood x501-1. No switches present, I would attempt to disable it permanently on the boards but I can’t find any source for a schematic of this thing. Just tried jumping 12v from batt+ to the remote and removing it, it stayed on anyway. Probably why the newer variants have a switch to...
I have the supplies and planned to install the remote wire this weekend, but the amp doesn’t have a way to switch off signal sense. Is it just automatic with a signal wire on the terminal?
Today, my t-harness arrived and I had to attach my own RCA ends because they were apparently out of stock when I ordered it. Been a while since I soldered, but I was pleased with the result after a few practice runs. Fished the wires and connected to the waiting amp, Kenwood X501-1, and sub...
FDE?? lol mine says BBB. If you want to share IPMA as built, I'd like to compare it to the one I was able to get online with a lariat VIN.
Also, check the last edit of my last post, you responded so fast I might have still been typing it. If you can do that, it might confirm whether we need...
NZ6T-9G768-AA Is the number printed on the part I bought from ebay, the service part number online is NZ6Z-9E731-A for 2022-2024 mav
S1PZ-9E731-A is what I found on the ford parts site with a 2025 lariat VIN borrowed from online resellers, but that's a service code not an engineering code, yet...
