I don’t know a whole lot about software and computer programming, but it seems like a tool like forscan ought to be able to copy the encryption key from the old module to the new one. Either case kinda defeats the security that was in mind when Ford developed this, however. I don’t mind the fact...
Thanks. I thought I read somewhere that you wouldn’t be able to authenticate a part revision that didn’t match your VIN. If it’s really like that, I’ll get a new IPMA and give it a shot. Maybe after next months rent gets paid lol.
Per jesse-infotainment at the f150 lightning forums, our IPMA versions might be the issue. This may not be possible to overcome, unless someone figures out how to get lariat tron modules working in another trim. What I’m wondering is, is it really a hard thing to do? Or has it just not been...
This is what I was thinking. Tried to save a buck and get a different module, there’s a chance we need a brand new module to see success.
How would I acquire this? I can test tonight if you can share, I paid for a year license and have beta access but didn’t see anything about a test release...
Interesting reads, thanks for sharing. I made an attempt to translate that guys spreadsheets to my Mav, using the lariat asbuilt as a reference, and no luck with just IPMA edits. I’ll try some of the other modules later on today.
I’m wondering if Havemav and I just have terrible luck and both...
Camera calibration is missing from my service menu, but I didn’t check before making changes. I’ll reset to original asbuilts next chance and see.
*update* @HaveMave
Restored asbuilts, DTCs gone, LKA and Collision warning aid errors gone. No camera calibration option or camera errors. I got a...
The wiring diagrams posted look correct. My XL has rear blind spot sensors from the factory. Vacant pins on the plug in this pic 1,3-4,9-10, 18-20 and the colors and positions of the wires that are present match the diagram.
I had originally wired the CCM backwards, accidentally swapped power...
@HaveMave I’m getting the same results as you here. CCM wired to IPMA, triple checked the wiring and it says last communication with cruise control module. I’m not sure what we are missing yet
Of course, I’m planning to have the pigtails wire nutted together right behind the backseat. Pulling the wire was not very hard and I needed to be done eventually anyway, so that I could have signal wires running to the amp I plan to install in the future.
I won’t be poking through the firewall...
I pulled my wires halfway, and added a few extra in case I want to add an amp later. It was relatively straightforward hiding it with the factory harness running under the sill trim on the drivers side.
Also there’s a nice big rubber stopper in a conveniently located spot on the firewall...
Appreciate you collating all that for us.
I've ordered everything I think. Going to try to modify the existing grills as needed, for now.
I found the bracket, cover, and screws at source one parts $85.14+$24.92 shipping, total $110.06
The CCM sensor on ebay pulled from a 2022 Maverick Lariat...
For the IPMA connector I found terminal part number DU5T-14474-EAB digging around the f150 forums, which is part of a kit WT1002.
$5 at rock auto or $35 at my local dealer versus the wpt1542 which is $100-200 for a plastic plug and a bunch of wires I don’t need.
Rock auto also had the distance...
where did you find the extra pins for this plug? I want to take a crack at this and see if I can get the CCM recognized.
Did you ever get the missing blocks to show up earlier?
That happened to me today messing with the ACM. Wrote changes to 7D0-01-01 and power cycled the truck, got a DTC...
Thanks, got some info and made a sheet to compare with my VIN and a Lariat for sale nearby.
I see differences between my truck and the notes @HaveMave took as well, probably due to differing options between our XLs
The IPMA is so different from the 2024, I decided to included them all, just...
One to watch, if they can figure it out we might have a chance.

Some of us just like to tinker, it’s not about the money. In my case, I was gifted a 2025 XL and want to make it my own. I have a few upgrades in mind though.
