We currently have three Mavericks in the family: my son's XLT Hybrid, my wife's XL Hybrid, and my XLT EB AWD. The first Maverick I owned was an XL Hybrid. I sold it shortly after buying it to get the EB AWD.
I sacrificed the Hybrid's better gas mileage for the standard 8-speed transmission...
Based on the capacity (and constraints), I would stay at the current dealer if your Retail order is for an XL - especially if it is for an XL Hybrid.
Ford is chipping away at the number of XLs. Yet, there are still more orders than capacity: 4766 of the 7686 are XLs.
If we use a running...
Note that the Maverick 'Calendar YTD' value for May 2024 is incorrect. It should be '78,878' instead of '62,609.'
It also looks like the largest single month of Bronco Sport production; the second largest single month of Maverick production; and - as you stated - the largest single month of...
I went out to take the picture and had an "oh my gosh" moment. The truck cap door is the width of the tailgate. Duh! It will work "as is." I feel so dumb.
I will order one to see how it fits on either side before ordering a second one.
Once again, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this with the MTC community.
It's hard to tell. Can you tell me if the pole holder is offset enough to allow the door on a truck cap to clear?
I have an A.R.E. V-series truck cap and I am not sure if the door would interfere if there was a flag pole in this holder. If so...
This is the information I was going to use to answer the questions posed above.
The key is to balance the trailer and not to overload the hitch.
I think, however, that the OP is on the right track and towing a Casita with a conservatively loaded Ecoboost AWD with the 4K Tow Package will work...
Those calculations make sense to me. My rule of thumb is to leave about 5% GCVW to spare. Thus, I would try to leave about 400 lbs out of the equation (by taking away the 385 lbs. payload left on the Maverick). Thus, I would distribute 750 lbs or less within the Casita while ensuring this weight...
The email address column is hidden - only I can see it.
I collect the email address in case something needs to be validated or reviewed (privately). I am sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that dealerships " stuff" the form with reviews.
I appreciate and respect your decision to post your...
@Newface Does the exhausted availability list suggest that the SIMS orders or any Stock orders to fulfill allocations must be the following?
XLT or Lariat Ecoboost AWD with the FX4 package? Or
XLT or Lariat Ecoboost Advanced AWD with the Tremor package?
Why three Mavericks? I can also answer that one.
I ordered a 2022 XL Hybrid in July 2021 and purchased it in August 2022. I didn't like the Hybrid's CVT or the rear suspension on the FWD. Four weeks after buying it, I sold it to an MTC member with 980 miles.
I ordered a 2023 XLT EB AWD in...
I have a hoist in my garage that I can use to remove the shell on my Maverick if I want to. I decided, however, to bolt it down since I didn't want to worry about clamps loosening up while carrying items on the racks.
Would installing commercial racks on the shell help alleviate the issue of...
Unlike Long McArthur Ford, Liberty Ford lists vehicles in transit as "on the lot." If you only count the ones where it appears to be a picture of the actual Maverick, they have eleven on the lot. Most of them appear to be XLT and higher trims (with one XL).
Join the SoCal Mavericks group since that is where it was discussed.
Thank you for the kind words regarding my Maverick. Details are posted in the Builds and Rigs forum.
Although it was Mother's Day, the Tustin Legacy event was held yesterday. I tried to get the word out on the SoCal Mavericks forum. Yet, the notice was late and I am sure others had Mother's Day plans.
I, however, had permission to go from SWMBO, and I was hoping someone else would too.
There...
