  1. Article: I Ordered Two Identical Trucks From Two Different Dealers. Here’s Why This Turned Out To Be A Genius Move.

We went through the process four times: We ordered a PHEV SEL Escape in December 2021, produced in late March, and purchased it in May 2022. The biggest issue with this order was waiting over thirty days to travel from the rail drop-off point (thirty miles away) to the dealership by truck. This...
  2. California HPR XL Hybrid CP360/Tow Hitch/Spray-in Bed Liner (in transit)

Honestly, buying it and flipping it never crossed my mind. I thought it was inappropriate people ordered more than one planning to profit from demand. We meant to buy this one and ended up buying one after it was too late to cancel this one (plus Galpin didn't want it to be canceled for obvious...
  3. California HPR XL Hybrid CP360/Tow Hitch/Spray-in Bed Liner (in transit)

We, officially, declined to purchase the aforementioned Maverick XL Hybrid. If you are interested, please give Alex Leontiev, Sales Consultant at Galpin Ford located at 15505 Roscoe Blvd North Hills, CA 91343 first chance at selling it to you. I don't know if he would appreciate me posting his...

Updated 2024/05/02 - This Maverick XL Hybrid arrived at the dealer today. I will be notifying the dealer that we are not purchasing it tomorrow. It traveled from Hermosillo Mexico to the dealer in Southern California in seven days!
  7. Any suggestions on an affordable bed cap for the Maverick?

I have racks for the cab rooftop and the top of the shell. Although the pictures show the racks on the A.R.E. MX-series below, they are now ready to be placed on the A.R.E. V-series.
  8. Realized today you couldn't pay me to go back to my (prev gen) Ranger

I have been trying to get Reus Audio to give me something I can share. Until then, I promised not to go into too many details. Here is what I can share: Factory head unit DSP One amplifier drives the speakers and another drives the subwoofer There are six factory speakers on the XLT, and they...
  9. New A.R.E. V-series, wheels/tires, & 2" lift installed

Keep in mind that I do have a shell on the back that adds weight which impacts the ride. I haven't noticed any significant change in the on-highway ride. I did get a chance to drive it off-highway on a road suitable only for 4-wheel-drive vehicles. The suspension and 245/70-17 tires were "in...
  10. California HPR XL Hybrid CP360/Tow Hitch/Spray-in Bed Liner (in transit)

We ordered this XL Hybrid in July for my son. Yet, we purchased a new 2023 XLT Hybrid for him in November. Then, my wife said she wanted it. Yet, we purchased her new 2024 XL Hybrid last month. Consequently, we are not planning on purchasing this one. It was produced on 04/24 and shipped the...

  12. Realized today you couldn't pay me to go back to my (prev gen) Ranger

I found your post rather interesting. I encountered a decision point a month ago. A little background to make my situation more clear. My wife drives a 2022 PHEV SEL Escape. The real benefit is the ability to drive alone in the HOV lanes in California. The stickers that allow her to drive in...
  13. 2024 Maverick Scheduling This Week (5/2/24) for Production Weeks 6/3 - 6/24

This statement is amusing: "Please encourage your dealers to submit Gas XLT & Lariat orders without any of the exhausted commodities." Why wouldn't Ford state this more simply for dealers? The standard tire for XLT - T7R - 225/65R17 A/S BSW Tires - is on the exhausted availability list. The...
  14. Superlift 2.5" lift + 245/70/17 BFG KO2s + Sportbar + Decals

  15. Roof Rack for XL 2024?

I have the Yakima towers with the clamps on my Maverick. I still use the round bars instead of the newer aero bars. The towers work with both styles of bar. Let me know if you need any details.

  17. New Brushed Aluminum Engine Cover w/ Powder Coat (JCR Offroad) installed

I found this thread on MTC regarding the brake booster differences: 2022 Ford Maverick, electric brake booster or vacuum brake booster? | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions If I read through the thread properly, the only Ecoboost with the electronic...
  18. New Brushed Aluminum Engine Cover w/ Powder Coat (JCR Offroad) installed

Do you have any idea what dictates whether it has the vacuum booster versus the electronic brake booster?
  19. New Brushed Aluminum Engine Cover w/ Powder Coat (JCR Offroad) installed

It's interesting to note that this JCR Off Road engine cover's design differs from mine. In particular, they eliminated the back of the cover to accommodate variations in the 2.0L EB. If you look closely at the OP's plenum on the back of the engine and compare it to mine, you will see that mine...
