Looked at all my FX4 skid plates hardware for the first time after 16k miles and 3 dealer oil changes- A hot mess of bolts barely aligning and such- Yeah pretty lame design and hardware- Also my air scoop is trashed like @ BGN - Seems like that is not offered as a separate item- Ugh

I have heard it works but it would right up on the shark teeth failsafe - Can anyone re-conform who has the trailer hitch as this does protrude into the available space ? I measured 28.75 on my 245/17 Toyos and would like to get a used spare with a little less tread. Thx -

Thx for the link to the air scoop- I looked at mine (FX4) and its pretty beat- One side no longer attaching, assuming I can blame the oil change techs @ Ford- Might ask for a replacement.

So coming back to this- If one has a Lariat with the Lasfit Third brake light and reverse bulbs but stock turn signals will hyper flash after doing the signal recall be an issue ? Thx -

Ford made it pretty confusing when they went to ala cart option packs but I guess it made sense for them. My 22 Lariat/Lux with everything got it's dual HVAC temp dials snatched away 5 days before mine went into production.

That 4K radiator fan blasts off like stage 5 Apollo V if needed - Happened once while we were at 8k feet in 80+ temps off roading. When it kicks in some serious air is moved - FYI

Those skid plates look nice- Do you remove the felt or just leave it in place ? The plates say they are 80 pounds for the pair..

Axle might stay the same but a lift raises the ridiculously low front bumper/valance portion of the truck, undercarriage felt, skid plates etc- There are a number of simple desert campgrounds that will cause havoc with stock mavericks but do what you need to do. I am pretty happy with the 1.5...
