In my situation I was able to exit without dying - Went right to the gas station parking lot, turned the truck off. Waited a couple minutes, restarted and the truck was fine. It's been almost a year since that episode and it's not returned thankfully.
Yeah I was happy at first with the tranny after our highlander but now it's just annoying when I ask for power with a downshift and it's just wondering how to make that happen.
It's been awhile and I figured we all need another Air filter thread - LoL -
Anyways I am @ 17k and the OEM filter is pretty dusty. Always been a KN fan but seems most folks are just not into that anymore.
What filter are the cool kids using these days ?

But I definitely felt the difference of that 10 hp/whatever torque increase there is with premium with my heavier ATs, especially when it's hot outside.
Same thoughts here in Utah @ Elevation. With larger tires and such I need them extra ponies that 91 provides.
This is so true- Toyota said our 2011 Highlander came with lifetime ATF/Fluid- At about 100k I was like naw let's do the service- Immediately gained 2 MPG and better shifting- They have since walked back the lifetime fluid statement.
Yes and No- But the Sync 3 only came on the Lariats and seems the management of the light system and bulbs with folks that have the Lariat/LUX is a bit different and I haven't seen that written about specifically in any of the recall verbiage.
