I have 2,000 miles on my '24 Maverick Tremor (Shadow Black).
I live at sea level but travel back and forth to Whistler (2,000 ft above sea level) three times a week.
So far I'm averaging 25 mpg using American Gallons (smaller than Imperial Gallons).
As I constantly exceed the speed limit...
I think the only number that matters is the GCVWR (found on the inside of the driver's door). Exceeding this number may invalidated your warranty. Ford's towing guidelines assume a certain payload (driver + passenger + fuel) in addition to the dry weight of the trailer/camper. Not...
You can obviously pull more than 2,000 lbs. You just can't tow more than 2,000 lbs over long distances.
Obviously the tow hooks are for the Tremor to be towed. No one tows another vehicle in reverse (which is what you are implying).
The Tremor's GCVWR is 6,175 lbs and its Kerb Weight is 3,807 lbs. This means its maximum towing weight is 2,368 lbs. Of course, this assumes no passengers and no fuel. Ford assumes 368 lbs to cover passengers and fuel when it says towing limit is 2,000 lbs.
With a four pin connector...
Given the number of lawyers in the US, I'm sure there's a legal/liability reason for having you press ok (like it is recorded in the truck's black box). But good luck, there's only one way to really find out.
