Many thanks for the replies. V helpful.
Fortunately I live in British Columbia with a state owned insurance company and "no fault" insurance.
Although there are a fair few campers under 2,000 lbs, there are for more under 2,500 lbs. But since I only have a 4 pin connector, I can't get a...
Does anyone know whether replacing the Tremor with stiffer springs would increase its towing capacity? Some people say that the Tremor has a smaller radiator, but I'm not convinced that's true since the engine is still the same and the radiator should be sufficient to cool the engine at maximum...
Most of the OP's hates are a function of buying the cheapest trim level combined with the hybrid powertrain. You get what you pay for as the old adage goes.
My XLT has the same sound system as the XL. But I managed to dial it in by increasing the Bass and decreasing the Treble. Now it's very...
I live in Squamish BC (named by First Nations to mean Mother of Wind) and it gets pretty windy on the highway. I can hear (and feel) the wind but in no way is it excessive.
I think I have the Luxury Package with my XLT (power driver's seat, heated Steering Wheel/Heated Seats/etc) but it came with a Drop-In Bed Liner not a Sprayed-On Liner. But I bought mine off the lot of a dealer as the original purchase fell through.
Kerb is a noun (ie edge of pavement - sorry sidewalk for Americans). Curb is verb (ie curb your anger).
Remember the English invented the language; you Americans just mangle it.
Oh, and you may weight 200 lbs, but I don't.
Mine doesn't leak and I live in Squamish, BC - rain capital of the universe. I would take it back to the dealer and have them conduct a water test on it.
There's an inverse relationship between the size of your member and the size of your truck. The smaller your shlong, the larger your truck. I rest my case.
Not sure this was a fair comparison. Ridgeline vs Ranger - yes. Ridgeline vs Mavrick - no. He also failed to mention that the Mavrick's dual rear clutch is water cooled (I think).
You get what you pay for. Mine cost 10 times what you paid. But every time I open the cover there's a beautiful women who says " welcome to the honeypot handsome". Good enough for me.
I'm going to revert back to my original post. Payload = GVWR - Kerb Weight. Therefore Payload includes passengers and fuel. My Tremor has a GVWR = 5,060 lbs. Kerb Weight = 3,807 lbs for a maximum Payload of 1,203 lbs, which is what Ford says is the Payload for a Tremor.
I personally would...
Certainly is squatting at the back. Your payload capacity is 1,500 lbs, but this includes passengers and fuel. If you really had 30 cubic feet of soil, you were way over that limit (30 cubic feet would weigh 2,100 lbs - 3,000 lbs).
