Did they get a copy of your license? That is required for an order...
But like others have said, orders closed for the hybrid long ago, and closed all together for the Maverick last month.
Sorry to say, but I don't think you got an order in. Your dealer is misinformed. You may have gotten...
I also ordered mine from Kissimmee. It's like pulling teeth to get any information out of them. Have you heard anything from them about their allocations or anything?
The build notification is when Ford plans to start your build. You should get another email for in production and another email when finished. If you are stuck in "In Production" purgatory, it means your truck is most likely complete and sitting outside in the lot waiting on chips.
Looks like he's in Canada. I hear the ordering process is different up there and all communication, including the confirmation email, is through the dealer. He is 100% reliant on the dealer for information it seems. Makes an already bad situation seem extremely fishy.
From what I understand...
This and not having the seatback fold flat are two huge oversites... I don't have kids so the 60/40 split on the bench doesn't matter too much to me, but having the seatback fold flat would be great for my dog or storing interior items that I don't want scuffing up the seats.
You should have been told when doing the financing when your first payment was due. Pretty sure when we bought my wife's Mustang that we had to pay a month up front so the first payment wasn't due until the following month, which gave us plenty of time to get the letter and stuff in the mail...
Because Ford marketed the Maverick as the first ever standard hybrid truck. There was never any mass marketing/consumer education done so then A. the game of telephone begins and people think anything new/ground breaking must be electric, or B. people don't fully understand what a hybrid is and...
Because it is expected. This was a big thing when Teslas first came out. People thought the cars were broken because for most people, when you take your foot off the brake, you expect the vehicle to creep forward. So this behavior is programmed in.
You can in a sense turn this "feature" off by...
Sorry to hear of your story... tragic...
I don't have my Maverick yet, but like Clarkdonbran said, I hope the hybrid makes me a calmer driver. I think I'm ready to slow down and enjoy my commutes to work/home more (albeit it's only a 20-30 minute drive) rather than just trying to get there and...
I can see this becoming a minor annoyance... I mean what good is the camera if it's unusable in bad weather, when you would probably need it most.
This will be my first pickup truck besides the 1-2 years I was able to drive my dad's Ranger when I first got my license. Otherwise, the majority of...
Unless you're talking about high end, luxury collector cars, I've never understood people who are concerned about a cars resale value, especially from one model year to the next. How you take care of your vehicle is going to matter infinitely more in resale compared to the very next model year...
Did you give your drivers license when you first ordered? If you did not, then sorry to say you do not have an order. A drivers license is required for Ford to verify the order and actually enter it into the que for scheduling.
The orders have been closed, and unless someone high up is pulling...
Call Ford, or use their online chat feature, give them your order number and sales code, they will look up your order and give you your VIN. Then you can put the VIN directly into the order tracker on Ford's website.
Because accidents happen and I don't need any more delays having someone have to fix a stain on my seat or scratch on my brand new truck. I don't care if people want to see the outside. But why should someone be allowed to look and sit on the inside? No one's going to be doing that to your truck...
Sure hope so... I'll also need an assurance that there will be no test rides or anyone wanting to look in one. All wishful thinking of course assuming I get scheduled and all.. Probably very low odds.
With my luck, this is the week that I will be scheduled for production. Which would put the delivery estimate right when I am due for my 2 week European vacation which we have had cancelled on us twice already due to covid. Also with my luck, I will not have any build date changes or shipping...
