From what I've read on various truck websites it seems to be a few percent improvement in MPG. Soft covers are better for MPG, since hard/folding covers offset any aerodynamic improvement by being heavy.
I don't have a cover currently, but will eventually get one mostly for keeping rain off...
I don't know about the AC, but in my hybrid when the big radiator fan kicks in it sounds like a small airplane taking off from outside the truck. Could probably fly an ultralight with it!
I'd rather have the cooling over engineered than under, but it was surprising the first time I heard it...
Averaging just over 40mpg so far, using the fill up/mileage method. Onboard number runs about 2mpg high, but seems to be getting slightly more accurate (tenths of an MPG) with each fill up.
I find the front seats pretty comfortable so far (2 month old XL). A little firm maybe. Longest stretch Iāve driven straight through is a little over an hour though.

Stopped by the dealership yesterday to drop off some papers, people in the lobby were complaining about wait times. One of the sales guys apologized and said āweāre getting hammered by Maverick orders the bank just openedā.
Knew a guy back in the 90s who would āburpā his tank when filling up, heād fill until the click then bounce up and down on the rear bumper, then fill another half gallon or so.
Otherwise you have all the bed space, maybe try a auxiliary tank setup like this:
Been very impressed with the TW Hybrid line. Gave me almost 5 months of water beading over the winter on vehicles parked outside (no garage) with little maintenance.
NC winter so more rain than snow but thatās impressive for a spray on wipe off product.
