I ride a large Banshee Rune v3. I have a soft roll up tonneau and Raceface pad. Probably have room for a Bak Revolver, but I'd want to see one in person and measure the space it takes up when rolled. The raceface pad doesnt block the camera. It fits like it was made for the truck. One downside...
I know this isn't adding any info to your list but I gotta say, I really hate the plastic latches all these cheap trifolds use. One, I don't trust the longevity of them, and two, I'd hate to have to walk around the truck twice just to unlatch all the panels. Probably not an issue for someone who...
That's the same reaction I have every time I replace a motor mount with a firmer one. There's no best of both worlds. It's always terrible for daily driving. Thanks for your honest opinion.
I believe they do. Mounting into slots is their base configuration, but you can also buy a vehicle specific clamp kit if thats the route you wanted to go. Im unsure if other brands cross bars will bolt up to the RLT600 legs, but their HD cross bars are reasonably priced. I priced out the elevate...
Nice setup. I wasn't able to close my soft tonneau with the raceface pad. I didnt try latching the cover first then slamming the tailgate though. Is that how yours works?
Good tip. Another cool Rhino Rack feature is you can remove the bars in seconds using the trigger lock. It's 8 bolts on the Elevate. In fact, I think I'm going to take another look at em because of that feature.
I bet some clamps prevent how many sheets you can carry. Some of those cheap Amazon covers have plastic handles that stick out pretty far. I see what you're getting at.
I'm trying to compare all the available bed racks that are either specifically made for the Maverick, or are universal but high quality. Here's what I have so far, add yours to the list if I missed it.
Xtrusion Overland - $1300-1700
Leitner - $2000
Tuwa Pro - $800
Trukd - $1000-1700

I dont like this setup because it relies on plastic to hold it up. Id want to see if there is any bouncing when going offroad, or even hitting bumps on the street.
I think the best solution is a front plate bracket so you dont have to butcher your grills.

Nothing to worry about. Belts are under the tread of the tire, not the sidewalls, by the way.
