Siris radio ad free? On what planet? I get as many commercials on Sirius as I got on FM radio. That's part of the reason I didn't renew after the 90-day trial ended. (Well, that and the fact that they offered me a "$99 for 3-years" deal to renew Sirius on the vehicle I just sold, but...
Mine was similar... It was subject to the air bag recall, so they could not sell it. Original orderer gave up and bought something else. Time dragged on... Then my salesman was asked by the sales manager to move a Maverick from service to the parking lot - they just finished replacing the...
I'm currently driving a '22 First Edition Maverick Lariat Hybrid that is Area 51. It's a nice, "safe" color but doesn't stand out much. I've got a Cyber Orange '23 Hybrid Lariat (with BAP) on order for me that will solve that problem ... Wife has its twin on order, but in Cactus Gray...
Well, have I got good news for you! You can get one on eBay - even the super-cool "under dash mount" versions. Check them out here... They even have one with "Quadraphonic" sound!
Yeah, not something I'll lose much sleep over... The only things I seem to be able to pick up on AM radio these days are the super-stations down in Mexico and a couple of talk radio channels...
Seriously, how many million watts must those Mexican stations be cranking out? I'd hate to live...
That one is likely positioned incorrectly (too far forward). I've had mine on and off a couple of times, and it's easy to position it so it overlaps the tailgate while still "sealing" up front.
Now as to "protection from the elements"... In a hard, driving rain, some water WILL get in. But...
I'm starting to see a correlation between those who drive the brighter Maverick colors (HPR, CO, etc.) getting more questions, versus those who drive the more muted colors (A51, black, and various shades of gray) getting fewer inquiries. I'm starting to think it's the "invisibility cloak" those...
That's because they don't even know it gets great mileage! Ford's lack of advertising means that only truck (and/or car) enthusiasts know much about what's available out there... If they don't read auto/truck magazines or frequent enthusiast web sites, they probably don't even know the...
When someone asks me "What can you do with the little truck?", I generally say I can do pretty much everything you would actually do with your F-150. I tell them that so far, I've used my truck to move firewood, brush from last winter's freeze damage,, furniture (multiple times), appliances...
And why, exactly, are you here - on a Maverick "discussion" forum, where people "talk" to each other? Just kidding - I kind of get what you're saying. My wife is super-inhibited, and doesn't like to talk to people she doesn't know. My mother would carry on a 20-minute conversation with a...
Living in Texas, and spending a lot of time in central California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico, pretty much everyone of every age keeps a water bottle available. It's amazing how much water you go through when it's 100ºF and <10% humidity!
For myself, I usually have a non-Yeti travel mug...
I remember being able to fill the gas tank in my '68 Austin-Healey Sprite (which held all of 7 gallons) for less than $2.50, before the OPEC oil crisis...
I also vaguely remember replacing the worn-out front pucks for the disk brakes myself for under $20. Took longer to figure out how to...
That's the "standard" gift thanking you for your patience getting the air bag recall done... And it fits just great in the console cup-holders, but not in the doors. Sigh.
On the plus side, it keeps stuff cold (or hot) for a VERY long time!
Why are you just now finding out about the errors in your order? Did the dealership not give you a copy of the order that was placed, so you could see the options and features ordered? Ridiculously poor dealership or salesperson...
I seriously doubt that anyone at FMC ever said "Let's focus on D&I to the exclusion of all other corporate goals - quality be damned..."
Radical thought: What if Ford elected to pursue diversity and inclusion, while also improving quality? That seems to be more in line with Ford's position...
I was raised to believe it isn't polite to ask someone how much they paid for something, what their salary is, or how big their bonus was... I was also taught that it was downright rude to tell someone else they overpaid for something. You can't walk in their shoes, so there is no way to know...
