Thanks for the correction/clarification. I am using a voltmeter to test voltage. The message I refer to is on the digital instrument cluster.

They handed me one, and a manila folder full of paperwork, manual, window sticker etc. I was a bit disappointed at first only to get one fob. A few days later I finally dumped out the manila folder and there was the 2nd key. You should definitely have 2.

I have a Lariat, with the FX4 package. The road noise has not been an issue. On my options list is an "acoustic noise reduction windshield" or similar. I assume it's helping. I have no no idea of it is a special windshield or if it has one of the acoustic stickers referenced in another post on...

That will clearly will add at least 5-7 HP.

I ordered a Maverick without. I generally love them, but had two cars where the interior road/rack wind noise was too much on long drives. However, I ended up buying a Maverick off the lot and it has one and I'm so glad. I am 6'2" and the reduced interior roof height is not an issue.

I just turned the bike sideways I took your advice, the bike stands perfectly on the diagonal. Anchor a strap (wrapped once on the frame) to the tie down of your choice and it's secure. Tailgate closes.

Went on a nice ride. There and back was mix of highway, byway and dirt road. The simple system held up fine. No tips, no hops. That said, clearly not a long term solution. As one poster said, if you hit bump unexpectedly the physics are not in your favor.

Not the most secure from theft, but definitely the most affordable I could come up with. I'm off on my first adventure. We'll see how this set up handles a bumpy road.

Lol. I "had" to. I wanted the outlet up and out of the way. In that location door would not open all the way up so I had to flip it. Note you have to take the tie down mount off as well to get the storage bin out.

I got an estimate in Lacey, WA yesterday for 730.00. I had the bed of our Ram 3500 a year ago for 550.00. Increased cost of materials and labor and the fact the Maverick requires more prep. Not being able to slide a barrier between cab and bed means a lot more masking.

Any guesses when this trim level might be available? I ordered my Maverick XLT FX4 in late September and will be waiting months anyway and this trim is exactly what I want.
