There's a dealership in KY (Pinnacle Ford) which regularly has 'Used' Ecoboosts with a few hundred miles for over 40K. I assume this is either a way to bypass an agreement with ford on ADMs for new stock, or they paid a high price to another dealership for the inventory.
Yes, any dealership should automatically adjust your taxes due if trading in a vehicle. With my trade-in, I only paid $195 in taxes. Saved around $1400.
Jack Kain Ford in Versailles, KY. I paid the following on top of Invoice:
$499 Dealer Document Fees
$22 Title fee
Tax
I did not have a signed price guarantee ahead of time (other than the actual order form), but the dealership has a strong reputation and was happy to get me the Maverick.

The front doors have a pocket, it's just out of sight. I can reach deep to the left of the bottle holder, so if I wanted to put something longer across the bottom of the door (like an umbrella), it will fit.
Quick Edit: I agree on the water bottle holder being overrated. Cup holders in the...
I live on hilly country roads about 10 miles away from downtown or shopping areas. I'm a little over halfway through my first tank and am at 40.7 MPG. 500 miles out of the first tank shouldn't be a problem. I haven't touched ECO mode. This has all been in normal drive mode.
My Tuscon Hybrid...
I would have loved a Ranger when they were reintroduced, but the intro price was too high, IMO. I had a 2009 ranger which I paid 14K for, brand new. When the new Rangers came out, it was a bit of sticker shock with a significant price change. For the price of a Ranger, an F-150 is likely a...
I got my Mav on March 31. Before this, I had only seen 2 out in the wild. 1 was in a mall parking lot and I drove past another at an intersection.
The day I got my Mav, I saw 2 others on the road. My wife loves when I point them out. 😁
I've got an Area 51 XLT.
A Sage Green Santa Cruz was behind me in Nicholasville yesterday. The one I test drove was a nice ride, but the main deterrent was the price.
I've bought a couple of vehicles from Stuart Powell and I always had a good experience with them. I test drove a Santa Cruz while waiting for a build confirmation on my Mav and I liked it, but I couldn't justify the 40K price tag for a comparable truck with significantly lower gas mileage. I...
Drove through Jack Kain's lot last night on my way home from Cincinnati and my truck is there! I got out and checked the VIN to be sure. It was a bit too dark to get a good picture though.
Tracking system shows it's still in transit. No word from the dealership yet. Doesn't look like the truck...
Yeah, parking in Mav the back of the lot to avoid the people who can't park properly, combined with the people who drive huge trucks and can't park them anywhere.
The author seems to assume almost everyone who's buying a Maverick won't utilize the open bed and would be better served by a car. The Maverick is reinforcing a stigma around owning a car, I guess?
As a homeowner, I have a long list of projects waiting for my truck to arrive.
Same. Mortonsville for specifics.
Also waiting. In transit. I haven't called Kain for any kind of rail tracking. I assume if it was going to be parked due to a missing part, I would have been notified prior to the shipment confirmation.
