Darn it, wish I saw this before I hit the car wash today. It finally warmed up enough for a wash…almost forgot my Maverick was HPR, not salt white.
Note to self…take a picture next time the Mavericks covered in salt or mud. I’ll post a pic when I get one!
I've been through a set much quicker than that...but I was in high school lol. I quickly decided tires are too expensive to send them away in a cloud of smoke.
A family member has an XL hybrid as a company vehicle. Last I saw it, probably had 15k on the stock Continentals and they didn't seem...
I like Atwater D Light(Detroit Tigers beer...I don't follow baseball but it's much better than the macros) for my "lawn mower beer." Bell's Two-Hearted for dinner, special occasions, etc.
Oh yeah, and I do love Miller High Life. I've got the time, and they've got the beer!
Michigan snow storms have been mild since I picked up the Maverick, so here’s the best I’ve got…took after returning from one of my early bird Sunday morning grocery shopping trips
I hear you there, I quit taking the “longer way” to work a while ago. 20-25k miles a year is plenty, don’t need to rack up more than that:crackup:
I very much enjoy driving the Maverick. I’m tall with very long legs and there’s few vehicles other than trucks I can get comfortable in, but the Mav is one of the most comfortable vehicles I’ve been in. Driving it is a blast too. I always tell myself I need to drive the old F-250 more often...
Only on my second winter, but the only places with rust is uncoated parts (axles, steering knuckles, etc). It’s only surface rust and is inevitable on bare steel. Immediately after taking it home, all the wheel well liners and felt guards got dropped and a copious amount of Fluid Film was...
Strolled into one of the local Ford dealers while running some errands this morning hoping to see a 2025. Just so happens there was a Space White XLT on the lot. Facelift looks MUCH better in person, and Space White is truly a nice color
Sounds like you would probably be better off ordering another one when you get closer to returning home, but I understand if you are set on keeping this one.
If I absolutely had to store a modern vehicle for a year, I would run the tank down and fill it up with rec fuel with Sta-Bil(really...
Hopefully I can provide a somewhat local opinion…I keep a monthly Everwash subscription over the winter to Sunrise car washes(I do the touchless wash and you can freeze/unfreeze subscription at any time). They have several locations in Macomb and St Clair counties. Basically I pay $30 a month...
I try to not lose sleep over carbon buildup. I do Mobil 1 full synthetic every 4-5k miles(closer to 4) and try to limit idling and short trips. Mine only gets premium from busy Top Tier stations, and occasionally I do an Italian tune-up on an entrance ramp once she's nice and warm.
I have somewhat young ears and it still took a while for me to realize the Maverick was actually running after daily driving a 7.3. The 2.0 EB is a noisy engine, but not like a 13 letter manure spreader!
Didn’t fully replace but is rather complimenting my 2000 F-250. Maverick for daily driving/long trips and light truck needs. Any towing or heavy hauling is left to the F-250…sometimes ya just need a 6 speed 7.3 diesel!
I keep a spray bottle of Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner and Protectant under the back seat and use it on everything, including glass(they claim it’s good for virtually any surface). I typically do a second wipe on glass to dry completely, but it leaves it streak free and clean for quite a...
