I’ve had my Lariat Hybrid for about 4 months now. So far there have been no surprises, and my thoughts are that you will have little chance of negative issues with yours. I have about 4k miles on mine and have flat towed it behind my motorhome with no issues. I’ve averaged north of 41 mpg for...
I also question the BCM being damaged, and agree with either what you say or that they don't know enough about trouble shooting the problem to come to the correct answer. I haven't seen very many mechanics that know very much about electronics?
There has to be great caution taken when adding any wiring to the newer vehicles where they use data for control & diagnostics through out the wiring of the vehicle. The Maverick is no different than any other newer vehicle. I have added the necessary wiring for flat towing on several newer...
They don't need to pull the engine apart to find if it's skipped time. They only need to do a compression test on all cylinders. Where the engine runs for a short time, there has to be compression. So the skipped time theory makes no sense. However, like I said we may not know the rest of the...
At this point, we have to assume that the Techs trouble shooting this issue are idiots, or we haven't received the rest of the story. It would be indeed ludicrous to tear into this engine before confirming the cam sensor loops were operating correctly?
One thing is for sure. If the engine starts and runs for a few seconds. It hasn't jumped timing. If its out of time it won't start period. There could be an issue with the cam position sensor alright. However, jumping time is not at all likely. These are probably interference engines, so if it...
An issue like this is truly a terrible let down. I certainly hope my Hybrid doesn't follow this lead. However, remember that what one man can make another man can break. Rather its intentional or not?
During the warmer weather, I was consistently above 40 mpg. However, now that its colder my averages are in the low 30s. That's because my engine is running not to power the vehicle, but to provide heat for the heater setting much of the time. Totally understandable. :)
I talked with customer service again yesterday. Even though my estimated delivery is 12/27/23, there is no real possibility for that to be valid since there is no ship date. I was advised that the tracking is not being updated as it once was. They don't have any answers just like we don't?
Older folks buy what works for them, the marketing has noting to do with it. I bought a Maverick for two reasons. first I can flat tow it behind my motorhome, and second because its a hybrid. I realize its not as nice to drive as a Santa Cruz since I've had two of them. However, they didn't have...
I don't know if you have the automatic temp system? If you do it doesn't work for heat. I found that I couldn't get any warm air until I went to manual temp control, then it works fine.
I have 3000 miles on my Lariat Hybrid, and I will change my oil now. I am from the old school and will change every 5000 after this. Even with full synthetic oil, it won't last for ever? The oil lasts, but it also gets dirty.
While there was once some organization in the process, That no longer applies, now you have no idea where you are in the process. It could be weeks or months, the only thing you know is that you are in the process.
I tend to agree with you. However, I have to wonder why they can't seem to keep up a system as simple as their tracking system. That certainly isn't labor intensive. One or two people could input that data, even with the high number of units being produced. Speculation says that they have...
There are shipping delays at the factory, not production delays! I suppose it doesn't really matter which it is. Because the end result is still the same? It's affecting a boat load of people.
