Apparently, your red light is not connected to the Maverick's brake light circuit. Because, if it was you would have known your brakes had been applied. Your brakes were applied by the aux braking system for some reason and you were unaware of it. There is no other logical conclusion. My dash...

It sounds like you're on track with your search. The main thing I would stress is the Hybrid. That extra 10 mpg will pay off with spades. :unsure:

This only happens with some people. Its because we all hold our hand a little different while opening the door. I have to watch how I open the door, since I’m one of the people this was not made for. I lock the driver door all of the time unless I watch how I open the door. :unsure:
