  1. Dead battery after flat towing, 2024 Maverick Hybrid.

Well I suppose Ford doesn’t believe they are responsible for advice concerning flat towing beyond telling owners it's possible. I guess I tend to agree with them, after all we have to take some responsibility for the operation and care of our vehicles. If it makes you feel any better, I did the...
  2. Dead battery after flat towing, 2024 Maverick Hybrid.

I have wired F-150s, Rangers, and my Maverick all for flat towing behind my motorhome. All of them do indeed require charging from the motorhome. I can't send you information right now, but if you're interested I can forward pretty much every thing you need later? Just advise.
  3. Maverick Hybrid Brakes Completely Ruined After Towed Behind RV

Apparently, your red light is not connected to the Maverick's brake light circuit. Because, if it was you would have known your brakes had been applied. Your brakes were applied by the aux braking system for some reason and you were unaware of it. There is no other logical conclusion. My dash...
  4. Maverick Hybrid Brakes Completely Ruined After Towed Behind RV

I guess I don't understand why I would need to go wireless when I already have a wire connection from my Maverick brake light system to the motorhome dash?
  5. Maverick Hybrid Brakes Completely Ruined After Towed Behind RV

I have been flat towing my 2023 Lariat Hybrid behind my motorhome since I got it new. I have the Road Master air bake system. I agree with others here that the aux braking system is at fault. My system has a red light on the dash of the motorhome which tells me anytime the truck’s brakes are...
  6. Howdy: Looking at Mavericks

It sounds like you're on track with your search. The main thing I would stress is the Hybrid. That extra 10 mpg will pay off with spades.
  7. Trailer keep connecting and disconnecting

I have had these issues with all of my Ford pickups over the last several years. My F-150, Ranger, and Maverick have all displayed this issue. The trucks all use their turn signal wiring to monitor the trailer connections. So if there is any intermittent shorts, or opens with either of the turn...
  8. Ford maverick hybrid is a home run !

I'm also with you, after 6,000 miles my Lariat Hybrid is a keeper. I have a near new F-150 with 6,000 miles on it, and a new Lexus Hybrid (which gets slightly better mileage than the Mav) and both of those vehicles sit in the garage while the Mav is the go to vehicle. I never thought that would...
  9. Navigation route won't cancel

I thought of that and tried it twice. That had no affect on the problem, it just resumed after every start. However, the sync reset did indeed fix it.
  10. Navigation route won't cancel

Thank You, this was the trick. I hadn't thought of resetting the sync. :)
  11. Navigation route won't cancel

I have used my navigation many time in my Lariat hybrid with no problems. However, I used it yesterday and cancelled it before I got to the destination, which it did. Now every time I start the truck that route resumes. I've cancelled it now probably 10 times and it cancels, but the next time I...
  12. Hybrid campers question -- does engine need to be running or in accessory mode to use the 110V bed outlet?

If you do the math. 120v X 15A, you get 1800 watts. Most household circuits are on 15 amp breakers.
  13. Windshield Chips

I am at 5000 miles and have two nice chips in my windshield. However, lets face it, pickup trucks with more vertical windshields are much more prone to chips than cars with more horizontal windshields. So at the end of the day, there is nothing to see here. I have had two Santa Cruz models that...
  14. UPDATE: Driver's door locks itself when I exit my running XLT hybrid

The small piece of plastic just behind the drivers door handle is very easy to push into the lock position when you’re opening the door from inside. Believe me I do it all the time. It doesn’t bother me anymore because I understand what is happening. It took me quite a while to figure what I was...
  15. UPDATE: Driver's door locks itself when I exit my running XLT hybrid

This only happens with some people. Its because we all hold our hand a little different while opening the door. I have to watch how I open the door, since I’m one of the people this was not made for. I lock the driver door all of the time unless I watch how I open the door.
  16. My '24 is here at last!

So far, I've been very satisfied with my first one. I believe I got it right the first time. However, it took me over a year for just one. :)
  17. Do you regret getting either the Hybrid or EcoBoost?

I have a Hybrid and its the only reason I even have a Maverick. If I was going with a non-hybrid vehicle it sure wouldn’t be a Maverick. Since I had two Santa Cruz trucks before I got the Maverick (during the long wait time for the Maverick). I am well briefed on the differences. The Santa Cruz...
  18. Calling all late 2023 and 2024 Hybrid Owners...soliciting your thoughts

I’ll admit that I was a little unsettled about the cutting at first. However, after seeing how it turned out. The cutting doesn’t bother me in the least.
  19. Calling all late 2023 and 2024 Hybrid Owners...soliciting your thoughts

There is some cutting to install the Base Plate kit 524470-4 on the Maverick. I’ve installed all of the base plate kits on the many vehicles I’ve set up for towing. There is cutting on most of them with the exception of the Jeep Wranglers I’ve done. Basically, you have to get rid of the lower...
  20. Calling all late 2023 and 2024 Hybrid Owners...soliciting your thoughts

Yes, mine is a 2023 Hybrid. However, my bet is the 2023 and 2024 will take the same base plate kit. I installed RoadMaster's base plate for two reasons. First, I believe it the best. Second, I have the RoadMaster setup on my F-150 so it can be change back and forth, Depending on which vehicle I...
