Yeah 200 miles away is too far so is Florida people around here want close to $200 to $400 for them They think they're really special. I think they paid a lot for their shiny aluminum ones and want to recoup it.
I love common interchangeable parts.
I'm cheap.
It's one of the reasons I bought a Maverick.
I think it's the reason most of us have. Even if you're getting a lariat all-wheel drive towing package, tremor, whatever more bells and whistles can be put on - it's still half what an F-150 is.
I'm...
It's gotten way too complicated - a spacer/ adaptor from 5x4.25 to 5x4.50 with a 63.4mm hub and 14x1.5 studs and now maybe a gun to hub diameter difference.
I'll sell these rims and tires and get the OEM
Steel wheels when people's inflated ideas of what they are worth come down a little.
You won't be so disappointed when some commercial lawn mower knocks one of them off and you have to replace it and can just get the black one. You don't have to look for a color specific one or pay more for it.
Thanks but those stud diameters are 12 mm instead of 14 and the hub is way too big.
I'm finding it almost impossible to find adapter spacers with the correct hub diameter (63.4mm), stud size (14x1.5) and hole pattern conversion (5x4.25 to 4.50).
Getting real complicated.
Yeah I looked into...
Actually I might have the room. The rims I have are these multi-hole pattern things.
I'd have to get a 5x4.25 and then a 5x4.5
Pattern spacer. This is getting complicated.
One of my main goals here in getting tires mounted on separate rims is so I don't have to use a tire shop twice a year to take the tires on and off the rims.
I can change tires.
OK I just remeasured and the rims I have seem to have a 2 in offset.
And a little reinvestigation says the Maverick has a 37.5 mm offset or an inch and a half.
So I need a 1/2" spacer.
Thanks.
So what do people think of spacers? Are they safe?
Thanks for that HRG.
I was thinking from the outside or "front".
Damn the centerline makes it much harder to measure - what does make more sense in my situation.
I'll go out in the mornings in the daylight and re measure these things to get the spacer size I need.
Sorry about the long ass...
I can't believe I'm asking a question about rims. I'm not a wheel guy. I could not care less what kind of rims came with this truck I bought a year ago.
Actually I like the steel rims.
Anyway, I bought a set of snow tires and then wanted a dedicated set of rims as I didn't want to take the tires...
I paid $24,800 for my 2024 hybrid that gets 40 mpg (same as my motorcycle!) a year ago and I love it
I'm not embarrassed.
Who should be embarrassed are the $50,000 - $75,000 8 foot trucks out there with the shiney chrome wheels with 10,000 pound towing capacities and "off road" capabilities - to...
Way to take an inexpensive economical vehicle and just wreck it.
They're catering to an entirely different demographic now.
So glad I got my 2024 hybrid.
I've been driving 45 years and never got snuck in the snow or had to pull anything more than a ton.
I suppose they'll put the 4x4 emblem on...
This is happening when official Ford updates are applied to altered programming not from the factory.
You have to do it again.
As with the LED enthusiasts - official Ford updates will alter the programming they had to do for the aftermarket LEDs. Same with your not from Ford added cruise control.
