  2. Rear seat will not latch back

OK, lean back. This is a known issue with this vehicle. To take it to a dealer for this - my God you're living a good life for this to be concern.

    Sit on it.
  4. You will soon be able to replace the factory radio!

What's wrong with the stock radio? I like it. What do you do with that one when you replace it?, just throw it out? I can't do stuff like that.
  5. I'm Out of the Maverick Club

I sat in a Ranger when I sat in and ordered my Maverick, the Ranger seemed to have far less space inside - everything padded seemed to be coming at you, actually made me a little claustrophobic. I went and looked at the outside of the vehicle and then the inside again and couldn't understand...

I do have Dunlops with white lettering on my 83 Honda.
  7. Went old school…. Maverick build on chrome wheels

I'm very surprised. I would have thought you were younger. But you still like shiny things?
  8. Went old school…. Maverick build on chrome wheels

You are dead on about my age, but off a little about the fleet or patrol car. These are the rims of a 65 year old who long ago gave up flash for economics, clean lines and simplicity. You are between 18 and 30, I think closer to 18 having used the word "gross" to describe a car part. Good for...

The difference in experience, expectations, perceptions and values of generations is vast. I think I could easily guess your age and you mine.
  10. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

Yeah I didn't want to seem rude or like an old man yelling at the kids to stay off my grass - but I agree. When I'm bitching at the way people drive - no turn signals, waiting until the last moment to verve over, blowing stop signs, drifting into other lanes - my wife tells me to relax, that...
  11. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

But I do think it's a generational thing. When I'm riding my motorcycle every young person I see riding a motorcycle has got their phone mounted so that they can see it. I just can't imagine doing that on my motorcycle.
  12. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

What is it you're looking at on your phone while you're driving? It must be a generational thing. I'm in my 60s - but it was my generation that implemented computers and smart phones so I don't not believe in them. I understand them and I use them. I work with them. When I'm driving the maps...
  13. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

But I guess that market was tapped - the cheapskates - we got our $23,000 trucks . Now they are going after the kind of people who want more bells and whistles and will even pay more for certain colors of paint.
  14. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

But those were the things - or lack of - that kept the price down. When the 22 came out it was exciting to be able to get a new vehicle for $22,000, $23,000. Then everybody kept asking for more and more and Ford did it. Now at $30,000 plus it doesn't seem so exciting.
  15. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

So instead of a $30 device they made it standard along with many other things that were either options or didn't exist for the 22 to 24 models and increased the price of the truck by how much? I'm glad I got mine when I did. For me it was a very economical purchase, it doesn't seem that way anymore.
  16. Where are you mounting your phone in 2025 Maverick now that the cubby is gone?

Why would you mount it anywhere? Leave it in your pocket or case. Get one of those dongle devices, plug it in and the phone automatically connects to the screen.
  17. Tailgate Assist Question

Yeah but farther away. If I can't lift a lift gate how can I move 4 ft to access the bottle opener?
  18. Tailgate Assist Question

So then I can't enjoy a bottle of beer if I put an assist on my tailgate?
