I sat in a Ranger when I sat in and ordered my Maverick, the Ranger seemed to have far less space inside - everything padded seemed to be coming at you, actually made me a little claustrophobic.
I went and looked at the outside of the vehicle and then the inside again and couldn't understand...
You are dead on about my age, but off a little about the fleet or patrol car.
These are the rims of a 65 year old who long ago gave up flash for economics, clean lines and simplicity.
You are between 18 and 30, I think closer to 18 having used the word "gross" to describe a car part.
Good for...
Yeah I didn't want to seem rude or like an old man yelling at the kids to stay off my grass - but I agree.
When I'm bitching at the way people drive - no turn signals, waiting until the last moment to verve over, blowing stop signs, drifting into other lanes - my wife tells me to relax, that...
But I do think it's a generational thing.
When I'm riding my motorcycle every young person I see riding a motorcycle has got their phone mounted so that they can see it.
I just can't imagine doing that on my motorcycle.
What is it you're looking at on your phone while you're driving?
It must be a generational thing.
I'm in my 60s - but it was my generation that implemented computers and smart phones so I don't not believe in them. I understand them and I use them. I work with them.
When I'm driving the maps...
But I guess that market was tapped - the cheapskates - we got our $23,000 trucks . Now they are going after the kind of people who want more bells and whistles and will even pay more for certain colors of paint.
But those were the things - or lack of - that kept the price down.
When the 22 came out it was exciting to be able to get a new vehicle for $22,000, $23,000.
Then everybody kept asking for more and more and Ford did it.
Now at $30,000 plus it doesn't seem so exciting.
So instead of a $30 device they made it standard along with many other things that were either options or didn't exist for the 22 to 24 models and increased the price of the truck by how much? I'm glad I got mine when I did. For me it was a very economical purchase, it doesn't seem that way anymore.
Why would you mount it anywhere? Leave it in your pocket or case.
Get one of those dongle devices, plug it in and the phone automatically connects to the screen.
