I was wondering about winter temps, we see the opposite problem in Arizona in the Summer temps get into the 115 - 122° range the AC is slow to cool the cabin because it has to cool the battey.
The owners manual shows 3 high amp fuses in the under hood fuse box for the hybrid electric heater.

The damper is on the 'front' of the engine where the FEAD would be if it had one, you may be thinking of the damper clutch thingy that couples to the eCVT.
You are right! I'm probably cluttering up the forum with futile speculation - I just thought it was interesting to think about.

Been there , done all of that. I have quite a collection of bent, ground down and otherwise modified wrenches plus some home made ones - if I ever need to tighten the gearlever collar on an early Lotus Elan I have the tool for it!
I rented a van last year in the UK, Vauxhall or Nissan I think, the gearlever stuck out of the dash beside the steering wheel, needed a little push for the 1-2 shift, 3-4 & 5-6 shifts with the finger tips (RHD). Very easy to drive, had me wondering why cars can't be like that.
