I said to myself, "That can't be right!"
But https://tiresize.com/calculator/ says you are correct.
The mini-spare is even smaller, height-wise: 3" shorter???
I don't know which models the tire label photos come from, FWD or AWD.
I wonder which reviewers experimented with different drive modes for their acceleration and handling tests.
For example, in one review https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/42608/2022-ford-maverick-first-drive-review-americas-cheapest-hybrid-is-a-true-truck-too I read:
"The steering is a little...
https://www.motortrend.com/news/2022-ford-maverick-hybrid-motor-technology/
"The 2022 Ford Maverick boasts an entirely new electric traction motor that is the first one developed and manufactured fully in-house at Ford. Its form factor isn't terribly different from the motor used in the Ford...
Yes, the 9/24/2021 Order Guide shows Lumbar for the manual seats for my XL, both driver and passenger seats. However the only mention of Lumbar in the Owners Manual ("If Equipped") shows the adjustment on power seats. Based on Aparadox's observation I think the Order Guide is incorrect.
Thinking about what Jason (Down) wrote... in the 9 months we've had our RAV4 Hybrid I don't think I've ever driven it in a "spirited" fashion. The 2.5L Atkinson-cycle engine in the RAV4 (similar to the engine in the Maverick hybrid) has a pleasant growl at low rpms but is not at all musical when...
On my old cars I'd suspect engine/transmission but a modern vehicle would throw a Check Engine error code for misfires, wouldn't it?
I wonder if one or more brakes are dragging. You'd notice deceleration when you coast; brake discs too hot to touch.
Did you check the tire pressure? I expect a...
My '92 Jeep Cherokee had a cupholder which slotted in that exact location, because cupholders were an afterthought to Jeep.
Every passenger hit that cupholder with his/her knee and knocked it off every time, without fail.
Always fun when I had a cup of hot coffee in the cupholder.
Other than...
It's an interesting chart. Where'd you find it?
The tech specs charts I have show just the 100.3 cu ft number for total passenger volume.
(I know you meant cubic feet and not inches.)
Why would 3 cu ft disappear from AWD vs FWD front passenger space?
It's the rear suspension that's...
Ford Co-Pilot360 (option code 86B for the XL, per the Order Guide) includes:
• BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert
• Mirrors, Sideview – Manual-folding, Power Glass
• Full-Size Spare std w/ 2.5L Hybrid Engine (993)
• Lane-Keeping System (Lane-Keeping Aid, Lane-Keeping Alert and Driver Alert System)
Mine too! Velocity Blue XL hybrid, only options are tow hitch and full-sized spare. Order placed June 15th, was scheduled for week of 10/4, now 10/11.
Maybe there is a container ship stuck in the Suez Canal with like a million cans of Velocity Blue paint?
I had to switch from Firefox with Adblock to Chrome to watch the video. It's 58 minutes long(!) but if you jump to about 9 minutes (49 minutes from the end) you'll see 6-7 interesting minutes of Bill talking about the Maverick including a minute or so of a typical installation process which was...
What assumptions did you use for the price of a gallon of gas 10 years from now?
If gasoline costs $10/gallon you'll see a much lower resale value for the Taco or any gas-only vehicle.
On the other hand, by 2031 everyone may be driving Teslas, so gas might cost 29 cents/gallon again. :D
RE: Active grille shutters
Older article from https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/active-grille-shutters-are-latest-way-to-improve-fuel-efficiency.html about Ford's implementation:
"When they're open, the shutters allow air to flow through the radiator and into the engine compartment, as usual...
