This is a Maverick forum so of course everyone will tell you that a Maverick is perfect for families when actually the correct answer for you is "minivan."
Congratulations on your good news! You will find that two children require more than twice the stuff you carry for one - it's exponential...
Interior rear view mirror on my XL is 10"W x 2" to 2-1/8"H glass area.
I don't seem to have a problem with blind spots with this mirror and my outside mirrors set correctly, even though the base model exterior mirrors have no convex inserts.
I have the same model & trim level as MaverickHybrid and the exact same problem:
I have to press the OK button every time I start my truck to make the seat belt status graphic go away.
Yes, I buckle my seat belt before starting my truck.
Yes, I've read the owner's manual.
Yes, I've looked at...
We've learned not to worry about odd clicking or humming noises our hybrid Toyota makes when parked in the garage.
The RAV4 owner's manual says: "Approximately five hours after the hybrid system is turned off, you may hear sound coming from under the vehicle for several minutes. This is the...
Your question implies you're asking about the Hybrid model.
The Hybrid has a 4-cylinder gas engine that needs oil changes and coolant changes just like non-hybrid vehicles do. However it does not have a separate alternator or starter motor.
The Hybrid has windshield wipers and headlight bulbs...

That's good news, Mike.
My morning newsfeed is full of "where's my rear window defroster?" and "where's my lumbar support?" so it's nice to read of one Maverick owner who had a pleasant surprise!
There isn't by any chance a Cruise Control button on your steering wheel, is there? :D
Base curb weight:
2022 Maverick Hybrid (FWD) 3,674 lbs
2022 Maverick EcoBoost (FWD/AWD) 3,563/3,731 lbs
2021 Escape Hybrid
Estimated Base Curb Weight (FWD/AWD) 3,554 lbs./3,706 lbs.
I'm surprised that AWD adds so much weight to the Escape Hybrid.
Must be all the "AWD" badges.
The 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid has a powertrain similar to the Maverick (2.5L engine, eCVT) and is available in FWD or AWD. The AWD option is an additional $1,500.
I bought my wife's 2021 RAV4 Hybrid LE in December. Called the dealer in the morning and had the keys 4 hours later, including the hour it took to drive to the dealer and back.
I ordered a 2022 Maverick XL Hybrid in June 2021 (to replace my car, not the RAV4) and hope to see it 6 or 7 months...

I ran the 2022 Ford Maverick Assembly & Production Line Video [From Hermosillo Plant in Mexico] at slow speed to see how the bed is assembled.

The article was published today, October 21. I assume that the just-released EPA numbers were a last-minute update.
I'm interested in Alex's comments about the hybrid's handling compared to the AWD EcoBoost FX4. I wonder if the hybrid is better balanced, since the 12V battery is moved under...

I have wondered what the difference is between a twist beam and a solid axle so I looked it up.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twist-beam_rear_suspension has a pretty good description, with pictures.
My Maverick-to-be is the 3rd new car I've ordered without a test drive, and I think you are more sensible than I am!
The car I borrow from my wife while I wait for my XL Hybrid is a Toyota RAV4, also a hybrid. I am very happy with ours, however multiple owners on the RAV4 forums for the...
I don't have my Maverick yet, but I've driven my other cars up on scraps of 2x10s to change the oil. Easier than driving up ramps and I think safer than some of the cheap ramps I've seen.
