Rock chip at day 4 of owning it, pretty minor one, $40 to seal it up. Took a major rock to the windshield yesterday, it will be replaced on Wednesday, $250 deductible. I've been reading up on it, because this is starting to really hit my bottom line, I'm not so sure it's the glass itself as it...
Good to hear, thanks. I was initially concerned that it wasn't a STRAIGHT line all the way across, something to do with the curve of the windshield (?), but looking at the OP here, it's the same on theirs, so must be a thing. Just takes some getting used to, but definitely DOES darken the...
I just had mine done today, a 20 minute job at my local tint shop, looks good but took me a minute to adjust to a darker interior. But I'm sensitive to glare and seem to drive with the visor down a lot, so this should definitely help.
I also don't consider myself a Ford gal, though I've driven a LOT of them, including about 1/2 dozen Rangers across the years. But I've also owned Toyota, Honda and Chevy vehicles. I'm not brand loyal, I'm functionality loyal. I've traded vehicles from time to time because my NEEDS changed...
I have this in my truck:
Mavoro Car Trash Can, Portable Garbage Bin, Collapsible Pop-up Water Proof Bag, Waste Basket Bin, Rubbish Bin (1 Pack, Black)
Amazon, $7.99, I 3D printed a small hook to fit into the FITS slot in the back of the console, and this can has an elastic loop that I have...
My dealership recently put new tires on -- put the wrong ones on -- in correcting their mistake they nicked a gouge out of my brand new rim which I'm waiting to get repaired. (An aside: the day I was in there on the tires, an old man came in to say he'd had them do an oil change the day before...
I deleted the hitch off my order to get it scheduled, it was literally the ONLY add-on, and I'd only put it there in the first place because it was so cheap, and then it became a constraint item (of course). Honestly, I'm past the point in my life when I see myself hauling anything that won't...
Also just FYI, though OP already has it, I bought the MA also, very happy with it, read lots of earlier comments on the subject of the provided double-sided tape being poor, I went with double sided velcro tape instead, has worked a charm for me.
I'm in Alabama, Land o' Heat and Humidity, and the Mav AC about freezes me out of the truck. I think I've only ever turned the fan beyond the lowest setting once.
I'm struggling to understand why this is such an issue for people. I get in, the ok to drive and seatbelt thing come up, I back out of the driveway and next time I glance at the dash both are gone. No need to press ok, just ignore, they go away on their own. So....? What's the big hangup?
So, reporting back, I was unimpressed enough with this that I actually returned the bottle to Walmart. I tried it on one panel, followed directions to the T, but it is not anything at all like the spray/wipe Meguiars I've been using, which is simplicity itself. This stuff left a definite...
FWIW, the very next time I drove the truck the code cleared itself. Might have just been a hiccup. Next available dealership appt was 7 weeks out, should give adequate time for it to reoccur if it's going to, but hope not.
In my city the MAVS on dealer lots still have obscene markups. For some reason there seem to be quite a few with 300 miles for sale, I'm assuming someone who bought it to flip. Local dealer has 2 of those right now with $10K markups over MSRP.
