Awesome! I may hit you up as I progress. I'm just starting to work on the wiring harness. I have a '24 Escape APIM on it's way. Still have to pick out the ACM. Interested to know what ACM you installed?
Thanks Fernando. I'm doing a conversions from a non-sync Maverick, to Sync 4. I can see 13 is highlighted in Yellow on the first page of the APIM connections and again in Yellow on the first page of the ACM #1 Black but its not listed in the the pin to pin trace. So I was hoping for some...
Thanks Ron! I had discounted the M1PT18K810AC / AB models because it didn't appear they have the USB port. I didn't want loose that. Also car-part site does not have a model trim selection so don't know if the car has sync3 and a lot of vehicles listed don't have the part number.
Anyway...
I'm gathering parts for non-Sync to Sync 4 swap in my '23 Lariat (non-sync). In zackmd1's original post the ACM recommended is the M1PT-18K810-AB. Unfortunately I cant see to locate one, but I'm unsure how specific this model needs to be. I'm interested to find out if others having done this...
Yea, that's a common misconception that all Lariats have Sync 3. In 2023, when I ordered my Lariat, you had to add the Lux package to get the upgraded stereo system. So I'm unsure at this point what all is needed to upgrade to the Sync 4 and larger screen. Still some reading to do to figure that...
I looked at that battery also but because the length is also 9-1/2" long it wouldn't fit between the tabs in the picture I posted. The tabs are about 8-1/4" apart. I would like to see how you have it installed?
Doesn't look like an H5 battery will fit. Small tabs either side of the battery mount keep the battery from sitting down properly. I tried the H5 from Walmart and it's too long!
I did find out the state of change definitely changes how soon the 12v port goes off. My volt meter showed the voltage below 12v and when I turn the vehicle off the 12v port went off immediately.
It looks like you can only save each module as-built data individually. Each module in a separate apt file. Any way to export ALL as-built data into a single abt file?
Thanks so much for this; great info. I have been using the As-Built Compare tool from them to find codes from other Mav's, just didn't know I could get a file from Forscan that it could read. Much appreciated!
Any way in forscan to export a list of the as-built data? I know the Motorcraft site can give you the as built from your vin but once they get changed, I dont see an efficient way to compare to you original as built.
