I had to call to get my points, but they did add them after waiting a certain period. I think when I tried using the Rewards Assist, it didn't work, but it then gave me a phone number to call that wasn't Ford Customer service. That's my recollection anyway...
I've been checking my order status screen and there have been a couple recent changes to the last updated date, so I was hoping my truck was getting close to delivered. On a lark, I tried to find my VIN in Granger's new vehicle inventory on their website. I found it and it shows as in-stock...
I just went through this myself. $100 plus for a full synthetic oil change and they can't even do that for you. I will always do my own, but my daughter can't. So we deal with this BS.
Yes, the other end of the rods slides along a channel on the bed cover. It runs parallel to the back of the cab. You can line it right up. Realtruck has a video demonstrating it. I bet you can use a heat gun or blow dryer to soften the glue and move yours.
For anyone looking at these, Luke...
You can use an allen key to move the rods to line up with the black weatherstripping on the roof to make it look a lot cleaner than sticking those pucks to the paint.
I love it when XLT owners
That is the one thing I wish my XL had. Most of the other stuff is relatively easy to add to the XL, if you really want it, but this is not.
And I usually drive my vehicles to 200k+ miles, but because of the pandemic, I have now driven one to 300k+ and still going strong. The big repairs at 200k+ are usually alternator and starter. The AC compressor clutch will probably start slipping too.
I feel the same way about the Big Bend wheels. I got some because they were really cheap, but they look a lot better in person on my daughter's truck (also Cactus Gray). I also have a set of Outer Banks going on my truck. I don't love them, but they were so cheap, and you get Michelins...
Earlier mine was showing an estimated delivery date. Now it isn’t, but I did get an email that it is built and about to ship. I’m just glad to see progress. I really need my truck.
I just paid cash, but I still expected the finance guy to try to sell me extra crap. To my surprise, he did not. Maybe be he was ready to go home too. Good luck!
A non-unibody truck has a nice big gap between the bed and cab that they drop a curtain down so they don’t have to tape off the cab. With the Mav there is no gap, so everything has to be taped to prevent overspray. Thus more labor and materials. It’s not really cheaper because it’s smaller...
I'd personally hate not having that hitch receiver option, but I wouldn't pay $2K extra just to have it. I vote XL Hybrid. My daughter has one and the only options are CoPilot 360 and the hitch receiver. She loves it! We actually prefer the black seats on the XL. Good luck!
