The Tunebase I have has this model written on the bottom: F8Z049-BLK. Although it's old and I'd be surprised if it was still made, it does look like there are some available on eBay right now.
The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act covers this. The important part, as stated by the FTC: "The manufacturer or dealer must show that the aftermarket or recycled part caused the need for repairs before denying warranty coverage." That means if the dealer can prove (the burden is on the dealer) the...
I'd think it's obvious, but nobody has stated it - there is the FM transmitter method. I have a collection of iPods, 5th and 6th gen (I like fixing & upgrading them) and I've used Belkin's Tunebase cradle for them that works very well. iPod pops in and out of it easy. Turn off the vehicle and...
I've seen others use components in the bed cubby also that have a voltage display and I've wondered how that doesn't run down the battery. Wilbur - Does the display stay on all the time? Seems like plenty of deep sleep complaints being posted and any extra draw wouldn't help.
Sure can, although yeah - a typical person can't shouldn't dolly the average vehicle behind a hybrid.
I have a car I take to the track on a tow dolly and will be using my hybrid for that. Quite a few people who participate in on-track car club events (no competition, just for fun) choose very...
When most people use the term upgrade in terms of suspension, it seems like it most often means to firm it up and make it more controlled to improve handling. You're using the term to mean the opposite which may add some ambiguity to the discussion.
Finding options to make your ride softer will...
There are people who don't like the box that the world expects them to live in and they choose to think outside of it. They're creative, expressive. They'll rip the tags off of mattresses. They'll run with scissors if they want to. I've known people like this and I aspire to be more like them...
I stripped my tail lights and rather than wondering or speculating on the difference, I took a few photos so I could see. Keep in mind, these were taken in daylight.
This photo shows the stripped lens on the driver's side, stock on passenger side. These are the factory halogen bulbs. The lights...
Take a look at industrial strength Velcro. I've used it a few times and in addition to the hook/loop parts being stronger, the adhesive is super aggressive and sticky also. MUCH more than normal Velcro.
2023 XL Hybrid
Prior owner received it in 5/2023, reported no problems to me up to 1700 miles.
I purchased it 9/2023, currently at about 4000 miles, no problems. No deep sleep, no grabby brakes, no axle problems. One emissions related recall but I could care less about that.
Toe arms are only applicable for owners with AWD models only, correct? It's worth being clear here because of the lack of clarity I ran into as I did my Silvers' install on my hybrid (relative to the different rear suspension configurations). The FWD rear suspension is a lot simpler than the AWD.
I have an older Lotus and it has a lot of fasteners to remove the body undertray for an oil change. Several companies have made kits available to replace the factory fasteners with quarter-turn Dzus fasteners. Here's an example - take a look at the pics to get an idea of how they install. You...
I have several cars that are put away during Wisconsin winters. I have a Battery Tender Junior as well as two cheapie Harbor Freight equivalents. I've been using them for around ten years. Both work equally well, I think the HF units cost me $7 each with a coupon years ago and had really good...
Eric - in light of your issues/complaints, can you share some additional info on your set up?
* What brand and size tires are you running?
* How many clicks (firmness) do you have set front/rear?
* Do you know what camber ended up at in the front?
* I can see you have Escape wheels so I won't...
