Ya those switch units are not a good option. I'd go with one of the Forscan recommended ones. I'm using (and really like) this one.

Yes, it certainly should be. Unfortunately, Ford didn't see things that way when they slapped together our Mavericks. Lotsa threads on this subject, BTW.
That's what I did, purchased a older used laptop on eBay and set it up from scratch. It was worth it for the handful of Forscan tweaks I've done already.
They usually fail at the most inconvenient times but no worries. You can go out on a frigid winter morning and slap that inexpensive new replacement starter on in five minutes, easy peasy!

If you already have a Windows 10 or up laptop, it'll only cost you the price of the USB adapter. I recommend the VLinker for performance and bang for the buck. Around $30 if you shop around.
Welcome and congrats! If ya don't mind my asking, what did ya shell out for a '22 Maverick Ecoboost? Just curious. These things are were a good deal new in 2022, I'm guessing some steals are out there for mid mileage used Mavericks.
Good to hear these are working. Why are you saying they'll be short lived? I thought quality LEDs were supposed to have a longer lifespan than halogens.
