Ill agree with what commadorebob mentioned too above my post quoting you on this...dealership allocations are still key.
I have a EB Maverick on order and they should already have been built (or just about all built) by this point... but my dealership also has like 20+ vehicles including mine...
That's what I was assuming from the start, but hoping for something to have changes or more options to pick from vs copy/paste my 23 order to a 24.
PS does anyone know if it is possible to get the alternative tire (Falkens) from the manufacture or just whatever would come with the FX4 Package...
Haha, I knew it was going to happen anyways. Figure if I said it up front maybe it would cut down the amount.
And I know we will all find out when Ford releases the information about what is going to change or not. But a few weeks ago I posted on MTC about what my sales manager told me, and it...
All,
I assume the answer will be "none" or "no changes" but I just wanted to throw out the question of if there is going to be any changes to the 24MY Maverick that anyone has happened to hear via rumor or reliable source?
Mainly as I am 90% confident I will not be getting my 23MY due to...
Sounds like as of right now, they will produce the 2023 until October 14. In which Tim stated something like they could still schedule orders in July and August for the October deadline of the 2023MY before they switch to the 2024.
Of which that would be after the July 17th order bank window...
So is your money on the Explorer recall being done first... or Maverick getting built.... ? (no hard feelings or nothing, just seems like you have as much good luck lately as I do...haha)
Bob has been one of the best persons on MTC site and I would send him a case of Cow as well...but my dealer has a bunch of vehicles yet on order, and low allocations...so I know I wont be getting my ecoboost anytime soon. I am hoping before the end of the year, but I will most likely have to...
oh no, I am aware that you are an outsider like most of us. but as it seems you know/understand spreadsheets and data/numbers and notice trends and things like that...its nice to see that information as someone who does not have that utility in my belt.
And not trying to "put you on a...
I just came across this video the other day on youtube. I do not take any credit for this, and if the OP of the video is on this site, this can be taken down if you already have it posted or dont want it on here. I did not happen to see it on MTC and the person does a pretty good job overall...
So after talking with my new order sales manager, because I am on this site and do my research, he claims that I know just as much as they do about this whole process, yet I dont work for Ford..haha.
Pretty much what I got out of it was the fact they have no idea how Ford allocations/scheduling...
If anyone has any ideas of things I should ask my dealer, please let me know. I am going to swing past after work (because its conveniently across the street from the pet store to get dog food) to talk to my sales associate and mainly the custom order sales manager.
With the rough estimation of...
The first week of the month you blast out 10k (or close to it) of scheduled retail orders for the whole month (customer orders). Then the following weeks Thursdays emails are just the few hundred gap fillers, would be fleet vehicles and then last would be dealers stock. If it turns out there...
I forgot that dealerships were generally requiring a hold/down payment, you got me there. But in my eyes, those who who ordered are sold vehicles (yes a few may back out prior to delivery)...and yet dealership stock COULD be sold eventually. I drive past a Ford Dealership daily and the same 6 or...
I am aware of the complex mathematical formula for creating the allocation numbers, based on your region, dealership sales from previous years and other factors. But the thing I am just trying to say is that even tho Ford can potentially make every vehicle ordered within the year, there are...
I completely agree with your thoughts on this, but my biggest thing grinding my gears is this dealership allocation system. For custom orders, I feel that they should make their own system of priority and time stamp or whatever to figure out whos gets built in what order, but they will get built...
So you going with an Explorer? Year/trim? And you going to stick with that, or trade it in whenever Maverick gets built, or you going to drop your order for the Maverick?
I have been eyeing up the New Explorers as well, but as I am not in a situation of dire need, I currently have no issues waiting for the Maverick. Stupid dealership allocations are going to be the death of me tho. Wish they would do away with that for customer orders vs dealership stock.
