  1. Not only did I get my best mileage from this tank..

I had something like this late last year at a convenience store with my car. I was at 1/4 tank when I went in, and the pump said I put in approximately the tank capacity. No gas under the car. So either my gas gauge, dash MPG, AND odometer were off, or something went wrong with the pump. I...
  2. Paying for connectivity ?

You mean like with Toyota where I have to pay monthly for remote start and use of navigation? :) Navigation is at least not an issue with my Maverick since my trim doesn't come with it. I just use Carplay.
  3. What would you do? Upgrade to a CPO or not?

Presumably the warranty covers the uncertainty of a different used vehicle. At least it is old enough that it probably wasn't got rid of due to problems, but by someone who wanted new again or bigger.
  4. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Hauled nearly 500 pounds of topsoil. Spring is here :)
  5. Ford Plans an ‘Affordable’ Gas-Powered Truck That’s Not the Maverick. How Will That Work?

That is what I was about to contribute but you beat me to it. If the newer EV truck can be built with fewer parts for cost and manufacturing savings, they may be planning to use the improvements for this new truck.
  6. Another maverick hit in the rear.

Based on sites like this, it almost appears that the Maverick is a magnet for rear end collisions. Glad that there was no injury to the OP.
  7. Ford Plans an ‘Affordable’ Gas-Powered Truck That’s Not the Maverick. How Will That Work?

I agree that it probably isn't going to be a 2 door. The market isn't there. And if you go smaller you end up with a bed like the Santa Cruz, which couldn't compete well with the Maverick. So maybe that just leads to an Unibody Ranger sized vehicle? The extra bed room but at at a lower cost...
  8. That question When to do that oil change?

I did mine early for my hybrid at 4800 miles and 10 months. It is my initial one, and I also got an tire rotation and the airbag light recall done. $0 out of pocket due to the Ford Points. My previous vehicle I probably did closer to every 9000 miles and when I traded it in at 134000 miles...
  9. Never heard of the Maverick PU

Sometimes I can only confirm Maverick by looking at the off center back license plate location.
  10. Never heard of the Maverick PU

One grandfather had one. An indoor player.
  11. Never heard of the Maverick PU

And I have no memory of the 1970s Maverick :)
  12. 30,000 miles in 15 months: A Quick Recap

So driving at a higher rate than mine. I just hit 10 months, about 4800 miles.
  13. Drive my Maverick more than I expected

If I had some old car that is my "fun" car, I probably wouldn't drive it every day and expose it to weather and traffic.
  14. Minor regret not getting an F-150 class truck

I would be having to drive it over 440 miles round trip. If I'm going to rent something, it would have to be big enough to haul what I need in one trip. A pickup is more convenient for me to allow me to haul some stuff on drives I'm going to make anyway. And if I can get some things moved...
  15. Minor regret not getting an F-150 class truck

I would just have to measure that it fits between wheel wells or if I would have to elevate it above them. I have plenty of straps to ensure they don't move or fall off.
  16. Minor regret not getting an F-150 class truck

The complexity is that, due to circumstances, I probably will alternate houses for awhile. Hope to telework when I'm at my new place, but do some in office where I currently live and prep the house for sale. Hence not move everything all at once. It is about 210 miles away, so moving some...
  17. Drive my Maverick more than I expected

I asked for the under 7500 mile/year plan, got one where they monitor miles, to save on premiums. Over the long term (absent the Covid year) I probably average 14500 miles/year total.
  18. maverick hybrid vs bronco sport

The Bronco Sport at least isn't a cookie cutter looking CUV. If I wanted a smaller vehicle in that class, it would be strongly considered by me after 10 months with my Maverick. At least I know what to expect, and I've decided I don't need a "premium" type vehicle after having an Infiniti and...
  19. Minor regret not getting an F-150 class truck

More research. PODs aren't available, but U-Haul has options for a similar pod. I would just have to figure out how much I need to move. A truck would be cheaper, but I would have to do the driving and tow my car/truck. A pod would be less rush to load/unload. In neither case would it...
