You mean like with Toyota where I have to pay monthly for remote start and use of navigation? :) Navigation is at least not an issue with my Maverick since my trim doesn't come with it. I just use Carplay.

Presumably the warranty covers the uncertainty of a different used vehicle. At least it is old enough that it probably wasn't got rid of due to problems, but by someone who wanted new again or bigger.

I agree that it probably isn't going to be a 2 door. The market isn't there. And if you go smaller you end up with a bed like the Santa Cruz, which couldn't compete well with the Maverick. So maybe that just leads to an Unibody Ranger sized vehicle? The extra bed room but at at a lower cost...

I would be having to drive it over 440 miles round trip. If I'm going to rent something, it would have to be big enough to haul what I need in one trip. A pickup is more convenient for me to allow me to haul some stuff on drives I'm going to make anyway. And if I can get some things moved...
