  1. Before & After Challenge | How much has your Maverick changed?

Only thing visibly different is the tonneu cover and bed mat. Nothing unique about those. I now have some boards cut for the bed as needed. Protective floor mats, front/rear. A lock box for small items under rear seat. Cheap removable forward dashcam. And now my bed is dirty. Literally...
  2. Would You Buy Your Maverick Again?

Too early to tell if there are any bad points yet for me. But if the situation were different, I would probably go ahead with some of the "wants" that I went without this time, like AWD. I was driving in heavy rain a few weeks ago and had to turn around due to water rushing across the road. I...
  3. Different oil change question

The last time I had 2 vehicles, the second being an F-150, I probably only drove it 3500 miles/year. So I just did the annual oil change for that. The reason being that, being driven less often, it could possibly build up with moisture that wasn't "burned" off from enough longer drives. I've...
  4. Wind noise while driving

Mine wasn't as loud as I expected from some posts. Liveable. Not as quiet as my car, but that bothers me more because I expected more.
  5. Obligatory farewell post

I would have been interested in a PHEV, especially if it was my only vehicle. But after 10 years I kind of got burned out with an crossover. So I went back to a sedan and added a Maverick last month. But there were several options for PHEV, including the Escape, if I had gone that route. Enjoy.
  6. My least favorite thing about my Maverick..

The shifter is a new one to me. Different from any other vehicle that I've had. Though my other car I struggled to get muscle memory on how to get it into reverse.
  7. What did your maverick replace?

Not really replace directly anything. I sold my old F-150 about 12 years ago when I went to a crossover SUV. Traded that away a year ago for a sedan. Missed a truck usability, especially with just a sedan, so here. A Maverick.
  8. DIY Bed Divider

I probably saw this the same place you did. I'm probably just going to go with a 2x8 board that I already have. It just needs to be cut to length. But this looks more fuel efficient.
  9. New 2025 XLT Hybrid owner

New owner in Oklahoma. After dithering about buying a truck for over a year, and more strongly over the last 6 months, I finally pulled the trigger on March 31 to try to beat the uncertainty of tariff pricing. So didn't get the higher end Lariat, but decided that my "needs" would be handled by...
