Livid? It took 3 tries for my dealer to fix this on mine. It all had to do with the vapor canister, purge valve, and associated parts. Neither the fuel nor clean oil has anything to do with this. Relax and take it to the dealer.
I would be concerned with liability if I were you. Not that I haven't been guilty for straying over the limit occasionally, but if in an accident, your insurance company will say tough luck if you are overweight not to mention the police report.
I understand. I am disappointed in the style/fit. If I needed the function I would buy one. Being retired, my tonneau works for me for now. No disrespect intended.
I really couldn't wait for this to come out, and I am not criticizing the choice to have one, but I think they rushed it to market. The fit in the back is sloppy. For the price, I would expect better fit.
Tradition is not a good reason to keep doing things the old way. As a former Mercedes tech, I did a lot of business with All European Auto in Michigan. They used Dodge Sprinter vans with the Mercedes turbo diesel. They used Amsoil exclusively and ran those vans for years at 25k mile intervals...
I really like it especially since my truck is white. Each 8 inch panel slides out of the aluminum u channel and can either store in the bed or behind the front seats. It comes out in about 2 minutes and does not pose any obstructions once removed. Again, it is not water tight but I suppose that...
I used the same product and got the same semi gloss finish. I have a bed cover so it isn't seen. I will say that it is durable AND, stuff doesn't slide around on it very easily. For this old fart, I am happy.
