  1. 21650 miles CHECK ENGINE light on

Livid? It took 3 tries for my dealer to fix this on mine. It all had to do with the vapor canister, purge valve, and associated parts. Neither the fuel nor clean oil has anything to do with this. Relax and take it to the dealer.
  2. Who is towing 4,000 lbs with 2.0 and doesn’t have tow package?

I would be concerned with liability if I were you. Not that I haven't been guilty for straying over the limit occasionally, but if in an accident, your insurance company will say tough luck if you are overweight not to mention the police report.
  3. '22 15k mile transmission fluid drain steps.

I don’t think it is possible. Mercedes used to put a drain plug in the torque converter but I doubt the Maverick has one. I hope I am wrong.
  4. '22 15k mile transmission fluid drain steps.

My question is this. Are you draining the torque converter? If not then you are only changing about half of the transmission fluid.
  5. Not as popular as we thought?

It looks so much like the F150, people aren't aware of what it really is.
  6. Tan SofTopper installed on White XL

I understand. I am disappointed in the style/fit. If I needed the function I would buy one. Being retired, my tonneau works for me for now. No disrespect intended.
  7. Tan SofTopper installed on White XL

I really couldn't wait for this to come out, and I am not criticizing the choice to have one, but I think they rushed it to market. The fit in the back is sloppy. For the price, I would expect better fit.
  8. Factory Continental Tires not well regarded?

I get it. Maybe I have just been lucky. Haven’t had a tire blow out in 50 years of driving. Knock wood!
  9. Factory Continental Tires not well regarded?

Those bulges are pretty common across brands. Very happy with mine.
  10. Airbag Recall - Nightmare or just fine ?

No issues whatsoever at Bill McCandless Ford in Mercer, Pa.
  11. Oil Change Question

Tradition is not a good reason to keep doing things the old way. As a former Mercedes tech, I did a lot of business with All European Auto in Michigan. They used Dodge Sprinter vans with the Mercedes turbo diesel. They used Amsoil exclusively and ran those vans for years at 25k mile intervals...
  12. Homemade tonneau cover

Enjoy your new truck when it comes! If you look under the “work truck “ topic, you will see what mine did last week.
  13. Homemade tonneau cover

I really like it especially since my truck is white. Each 8 inch panel slides out of the aluminum u channel and can either store in the bed or behind the front seats. It comes out in about 2 minutes and does not pose any obstructions once removed. Again, it is not water tight but I suppose that...
  14. Herculiner Roll on Bed Liner DIY review

I used the same product and got the same semi gloss finish. I have a bed cover so it isn't seen. I will say that it is durable AND, stuff doesn't slide around on it very easily. For this old fart, I am happy.
  15. Not a work truck? I beg to differ with my 2,200 mile Maverick daily worker update

At the top of the 4k limit but it did a 90 mile trip.
  16. Are plug tire repairs safe?

NEVER HAD A PLUG FAIL. LIABILITY LAWYERS GO AWAY!!!!!!!
  17. Disconnect rear center seatbelt

I have 42 plus in. I feel your pain!
  18. Disconnect rear center seatbelt

SOUND ADVICE FROM YOUR 15 YEAR OLD! DOES HE TAKE AFTER YOUR WIFE? SERIOUSLY, MAYBE SOME SELF STICK VELCRO COULD STOP THE SLAPPING.
  19. Show your Trailer-Towing Hitch Covers or Accessories

You should put a bumper on the back of your bump step so it won't get damaged.
