  1. Trailer hitch receiver backup light

I tried an additional brake light there and it gave me light error messages on my dash.
  2. California Steel Take offs

Hi. Would you sell me the lug nuts? Mike
  3. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

I brought home my next car to flip. I brought home the next car flip. Towed it about 90 miles. No issues as I was right up to the 4K limit.
  4. Gift for getting the airbag recall repair done.. YETI tumbler!

I have 12k miles on my Maverick and received my Yeti about two weeks after having the recall done.
  5. Ohio Steelies $450

Where in Ohio are you? I am in Pa but close to Youngstown.
  6. Odometer miles at delivery?

    Mine was like 7.
  7. Recommendation for full bed access trifold tonneau?

This isn't a trifold but slides out and stores behind the front seat or on the back seat or in the bed. I made it from vinyl fence from Home Depot and have about 220.00 in it. It is NOT designed to be water tight but does a good job of protecting stuff from theft when the tailgate is locked. The...
  8. Black Softopper Soft Top on Alto Blue Maverick and Velocity Blue Maverick

I don't fault anyone for buying one but, Sofftopper appears to have done a sloppy job of fitment and styling especially where it meets the back of the roof and beeline.
  9. NEW WHEELS AND TIRES FOR 2023 MAV XL -- opinions on 16" wheels? UPDATE: SIZE 16” WHEELS WILL NOT FIT AROUND THE REAR ROTERS!!!

I think the shop had some 16s they needed to get rid of. But in any case, make sure the overall tire height is close to stock for speedometer accuracy as well as design performance.
  10. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I would not. And the reason I say that is because of towing capacity and towing range. My buddy has a new Lightning and is not confident that his truck will tow his boat to his lake house 160 miles away with out stopping to charge. It may, but he hasn't tried it yet. Fossil fuels forever!!!!
  11. Curbed my beautiful rim and now worried about alignment

Reporting it to the police will probably not get you any resolution. You did appear to overcorrect so buy a new wheel and get an alignment. I understand your grief and he was in the wrong, but any insurance company will say that you are partly to blame simply because you were there.
  12. Instinctively reaching for a shift lever... is it just me?

On my drive home from the dealer, I put the truck in gear and cleaned my windshield! What makes it worse is that my wife ML350 has the controls reversed from my Maverick. So when I try to put her car in gear, I change the radio station.......just got my Medicare card yesterday......guess it is...
  13. Instinctively reaching for a shift lever... is it just me?

[QUO OTE="Traegorn, post: 515228, member: 5244"] So I'm literally just a few days into actually having my truck, and I love the crap out of this thing -- but every time I go to park the Maverick, I keep instinctively reaching for a shift lever to put it in park and grasping air. Then, hoping...
  14. Towing capabilities affected by Lift Kit?

What I meant was using a receiver adapter to keep the trailer tongue at a similar height as it would be stock. I should have made that clear.
  15. Towing capabilities affected by Lift Kit?

I think just keeping the tongue weight/angle similar to stock height would be prudent.
  16. What is the meaning of Maverick?

    Whats an emoji?
  17. Undercoating / rustproofing Mavericks. RU?

Just a side note. The door panels come off super easy if you don't want to drill holes.
  18. Undercoating / rustproofing Mavericks. RU?

You are correct about the shields. They cover much of the bottom of the vehicle. I took mine off, the inner fenders out, and the interior door panels off. I then mixed chain saw bar oil with linseed oil, and thinned it with kerosine and after wrapping all the electrical connectors with tin foil...
  19. Undercoating / rustproofing Mavericks. RU?

Then the people at consumer reports are being paid by the manufacturers to say that. If you live in the rust belt, every vehicle should be rust proofed some how, some way lest they delaminate like a piece of osb left in the rain.
  20. Paint Recommendations for Catalytic Converter

They will just cut outside of that. Better off to let the insurance company deal with it.
