Yes, it turns on heated seats and steering, and the HVAC heat. No, it won't kill your battery - the engine will come on and will probably run the whole time.
I know. And I fully expect water to get in where the cover meets the bed in places. What I'm not expecting is the cover itself to leak like it has holes in it, if that is what's happening. That's unacceptable on a cover that costs this much imo
Thanks, yeah I actually ordered this cover through him. I kinda wanted to see if I could figure out what exactly was going on before I contact them and see about a warranty repair/replacement if that ends up being necessary
I sealed those gaps up pretty good with peelable silicone caulk. I'm wondering if it's condensation since it was a really chilly day. I'll try get out there with a bucket soon and see if I can investigate and figure out how/if the water is getting in
It's overall a good update. Maps is pretty darn tiny on the small maverick screen in split screen mode. Don't love the time in the bottom right corner, but I'm sure I'll get used to it
I got into the beta program this morning and coolwalk popped up today on my way to lunch. Haven't had a chance to mess with it at all, but the maps screen did seem a little on the small side given how small the Mavericks screen is overall
Are you in motion when you open the door or open the window to listen for traffic? Just come to a stop. There's no noise when you're not moving. Didn't the engine noise of your previous ICE car give you the same problems?
On your second point, who cares if the engine is on or not when you're...
Anyone else have this issue? My new Bakflip mx4 seems to be leaking somehow from the locking mechanisms. Or at least that's where water is ending up and then dripping into the bed. It's not a ton of water, but enough to leave little pools in the bed. Kinda frustrating. I'll be reaching out to...
Sorry to hear you're having issues. Again, mine work great. High beams turn off within a second of the truck "seeing" another car's headlights or taillights ahead of me. Once they're out of sight, the high beams come right back on. It very rarely, if ever, gets confused by things like street...
I love them. They've worked flawlessly for me, coming on when I expect them to and turning off instantly when traffic appears ahead. Only minor complaint is that (by design) they don't come on at lower speeds (below 30mph or so it seems)
I had water getting in at the corners closest to the window and through those gaps in the truck's plastic trim cover on the sides of the bed. Recently used some of this stuff to seal up those gaps https://a.co/d/0h5Re0q Works well so far, and we'll see how it holds up.
Also the rail system has...
Have you tried pulling the taillight assembly and checking the connections (specifically, the main connection to the assembly itself, not necessarily the ones for individual bulbs)? Might be worth a shot
Averaging 39mpg over 6k miles. That's calculated, not relying on the computer.
Most is my mileage is my commute, which is probably the quintessential mix of city/highway. Start off in my small suburban neighborhood, then onto a 65mph freeway for a few miles which then transitions down to 55 and...
OP, sorry to pile on here, but just think about it for a second. The aluminum hood is already very light. You're talking about shaving a few pounds off a truck that weighs 3600.
1000 miles of range is something that probably 99.9% of drivers have zero need or desire for (myself included). Driving that far without stopping sounds utterly miserable. No surprise Ford doesn't have it as an option.
And would the second tank go in the bed? The bed's small enough as it is -...
Our Costco is definitely cheaper. But it's not close enough to make a trip only for gas on a weekday (it'd be like a 30 minute round trip, travel only). And on Saturdays/Sundays when we're actually there to shop, the gas lines are usually insane.
So I hardly ever get gas there. My time is worth...
