Only newer/more expensive cars/head units come with wireless AA built in. Older and/or cheaper units require that you plug the phone in - but you can buy addon wireless adapters for $100 or so
Personally, I had a bad experience with the Motorola MA1. I probably got a lemon unit, but I could never get it to work. AAwireless has worked flawlessly for me, however.
On a tonneau, I wouldn't just buy the cheapest on Amazon. There are many different styles and levels of quality. Do some...
Not sure I agree with this. As others have pointed out, maintaining speed should always be more efficient than stop and go (no matter what kind of drivetrain we're talking about). With a hybrid system you will never ever ever recover all of the energy by braking that's necessary to accelerate...
I really like it. I'd say I use it most times I have to strap things down in the bed. Being able to quickly slide the cleats around is nice.
But I'm not sure it'd be worth it as a standalone option for $400. There are DIY options, though they may not be as handy to use
Digital temps on the dials absolutely were included on the early 22 mavs. My 22 Lariat built in February has digital readouts on both dials from the factory.
If it was just hanging back there pointed at the ground or the bumper, I'm surprised it doesn't go nuts every time you put it in reverse because it thinks you're about to back into an object.
But definitely not normal - take it back to dealership to fix under warranty
I have a lariat with the dual climate. I've experienced 4 seasons with it now, and always leave the HVAC on auto and set between 68 and 72. I'm always perfectly comfortable
Our hybrid 12v batteries are a lot smaller than what's used in the ecoboost - they don't need the extra umph to power a traditional starter. Maybe the smaller size is why they're more susceptible to the cold.
Here, I'd say cold for us is days in the 40s, maybe 50s, and lows below freezing at night. When those temps started to hit regularly was when deep sleep started popping up a lot for me.
Deep sleep issues are definitely cold weather related, or at least they seem to be.
I'm not even in the great white north, but I started getting constant deep sleep messages that coincided with the cold weather here in NC.
During the warm spell we've for the past week or so, not a single deep...
I don't get it either. Outside of very niche applications I suppose, carplay or android auto do everything you should ever need your phone to do while driving
I doubt this a Ford or Maverick specific thing. All modern cars are so packed with tech, sensors and connectivity hardware (generally a good thing in my opinion), that they'll apparently use a decent amount of battery power even just sitting there. Eventually, the battery will run down and you...
Yup, I did it with posi-taps. Great result that functions as if it was installed at the factory. The lights come on and off when I lock and unlock the keyfob, and of course the switch in the bed works as well
I think that would be hard to do with a modern truck, including the Maverick, with backup cams. You'll immediately know it's down when you see the camera pointed at the ground
